Trying to help a friend and planned to run energy into her head but thought I would ask for any insights or advice. My search mostly revealed requests for help not methodology used.

I would suggest about a 50/50 mix of heart and head. As these things are often emotionally based yet cause chemical changes in the brain both would be of good use.
