I just finished my first workshop in S.F.

I had some tension/pain in my chest. During one of the practice sessions one of the other participants ran energy, chased it up my neck to the base of my skull. Then silent tears ran down my face.

In the same session, another participant ran energy in the same place with the same results.

What was interesting to me is later that day we did the 'sandwich' technique. With double the energy being run, the reaction was much stronger. The tension rushed to TMJ muscles and it felt like my head would explode. I knew that it had to run it's course and fought the urge to get up and leave the room.

The pressure finally subsided.

However I feel that several sessions would be need to get all the emotion up and out.

I've recently read a few posts about how talking about the feelings can help. Does it help to talk about it to someone then do QT to be effective or does the verbalization have to be done during the session?

This is a HUGE area where we can people. Especially after 911 and the war, many have post traumatic stress syndrome.

Has anyone working with emotions and QT had success treating past events using LD technique?

Thanks-

Hey,

Great question and information. This topic on emotional releases and working with emotions seems to be a hot topic in the past few days... as 9-11 approaches.

If I may ask, how did you like the overall workshop? I am planning to attend one here in NC in November. I hae purchased the video workshop - and will use that as a follow up I complete the group seminar workshop.

Any feedback you have would be helpful. Thank you for your input. Kim

I do long distance emotional healing work all the time. I do have the person on the phone with me as I work so that I can get immediate feedback.

In my experience it is best to have the emotional (the verbalization) work done during the treatment. This targets the pain and the emotion at the same time. Also note that it was not NECESSARY to vebalize in order to get the release, (you are an example) it is only faster at unravelilng the levels. That said, for me the verbalizing makes it feel more complete.

Hi Kim,

I had purchased the book, had a session with a local practitioner and went to a lecture before deciding to take the workshop.

Doing all that gave me a good foundation going into the workshop-I knew what it was all about, had experienced it myself, and seen how others put the breathing to work.

The workshop basically covers the book. However what I found extremely helpful were the practice sessions. Not only do others get to work on your problem areas, but you get tons of practice.

I could barely keep the BS and breathing going for five minutes before the workshop. However the first day you're giving fifteen, twenty and half hour treatments. So by the end of the first day I was able to go home and give my wife a 45 minute treatment.

Practicing so much also helped me to really feel the energy, and build the strength of the 'buzz' in my hands and body.

The positive reinforcement of the other nine participants plus instructors really is encouraging as well.

Hey,

Thanks for the information... sounds like you had done your research and it paid off. I have gotten thru the book, talked with many others in this website and tried some QT on myself, pets, my husband and a few clients.

I can understand what you said about the breathing and the BS going - that sounds like you really need to be present, grounded and as the book says - give 100% - for that is alot in itself to do.

I am looking for a practioner here in Raleigh, NC to receive a session with prior to the workshop. It is my understanding that working on yourself is the hardest thing - for the energy will go where it needs to - and that is the case will all i believe. I am working on my attention span for the body sweeps. The breathing is going well - we work alot with breath in yoga, massage and other energy modalites so that is not so difficult. I am sure that with all the practice and it being something new - BS - that with will become second nature very soon.

You said that you gave your wife a session. How were your/her results??? I would love to hear.

Again thank you for your input and please keep in touch.

Kim

I chased the pain around her temples, her forehead, back of the skull, down the neck to her traps, then back up to her temples in the 45 minutes. The pain went away.

The next day her head, neck and shoulders were killing her. I had to go to work, but called at 11:00. She said she felt great.

She had a little head tightness today (I treated her on Sunday). But the neck and arms have been good.

She's had chronic head and neck problems (whiplash when younger), so I figure it will take a few treatments.
