This is a bit of a story too, because that is what got me wondering
'what do I know for certain?'. Last week I got to go be with a friend as she had her 2nd girl. I don't see her very often and have only been able to tell her about QT via email in the last few months since I first learned the basics. I have of course, sent distant healing since I found out that she was pregnant again (her first child was nearly 5 months early!! But is now doing very well at age 4). This was the first opportunity to use QT in person. So the question is, How can we tell if QT helped? As far as I know, we have no way of knowing how things would have gone differently with this pregnancy and delivery without QT... She did make it to term this time. They broke her water at 7:45am last wednesday. I got to the hospital at 9am and began working from the side on her lower back and hip. Things were progressing VERY QUICKLY! I then moved to be out of the way for the nurses, and worked standing behind her husband. As he held her hand I used him as a surrogate (QT on him for her). Unfortunatly I hadn't explained to him what I was doing - so after the fact he mentioned that he thought I was hyperventilating behind him!! I knew he wouldn't mind though- as he has some background in meditative energywork, and I knew that he was, understandably, wanting everything to go well this time. The baby was born at 9:26am!! Erika Jane was 7lbs. 6oz and perfect. Their first child, Myra, was born at 1 lb 6 oz and rushed to another hospital via helicopter! So it's nice to think that QT had something to do with this happy outcome.... But I can't help but wonder how different things would have been without it. Like I could have NOT done everything I possibly could to help my friend!! When it was over I realized that I have never intended to help someone so thuroughly as then. And considering that this delivery happened with no epideral, no IV, no drugs... Well it looks like QT did something!Kathy Personally, I had a bad experience with my first pregnancy/delivery and have not had any more children. I thought I would never even consider going through that again! But shortly after my first workshop it occured to me that now I have an option, now I have something that would help me get through everything more easily. So although I'm not pregnant now, the idea of being so doesn't scare me like it has for the past 4 years. |

WOW! What a fantastic experience you had!!! I have no doubt that you assisted her to have a very positive outcome in that delivery process!!! And that has got to be the shortest delivery time that I've ever heard of...(Do you realize what other women would pay to be able to have such a positive experience during their births of their children?!!!!)
I'm curious...Did the QT help her to stay fairly calm, etc? I'd like to hear more about your friend's perception of the whole experience..... Keep up the wonderful work! Emmale Judycki Certified Quantum Touch Practitioner |

This was my friends first full term delivery experience. Her older daughter, Myra, was born at 1lb 6 oz, 4 MINUTES after her water broke! Though, thankfully, they were already at the hospital.
Accepting the huge relief of not repeating those events, and the comparitively long deliveries experienced by other friends(my own at 18hrs) and relations, what is there to compare it with. What is normal? Granted, there were no complications, and the Dr arrived fairly quickly so she didn't have to 'try not to push' for very long. Yes, she was relatively calm and present, although obviously in a great deal of pain and discomfort. She said afterward that she had expected it to be MORE painful! She also declined any of the ever-so-popular post partum drugs, taking only IB Profin after a 7lb 6oz baby! They went home after the minimum 24hr stay, and the next day she was already 'up and about' trying to convince everyone to let her do chores! I do hope that she was really feeling as good as she claimed, though I also encouraged her to let everyone do things for her. I know that I spent most of the day and night and morning before the delivery with the health and wellness of my friend prominent in my thoughts, and sweeping and breathing in advance. I worked specificly on her ankles the evening before without prompting labor. I have 35hrs of my practitioner requirement recorded. Many of those hours have been for the relief of pain and reduction of inflamation. Though I have recently had a hard time getting long sessions (to build up my hrs), because people report that the pain has gone or lessened enough that they don't want ot spend any more time on it. I was certainly warmed up last Wednesday morning when I got to the hospital. Then also, the memory of my own visit 4 1/2 years ago helped me to pour out such strong sympathy and caring through my hands (and through her husband), for her, that I experienced a level of energetic channeling previously unknown to me. as well as great elation after everything went so well! As I said before, I have never intended so thuroughly to help someone.kathy |

Hi! I had wondered about this too-- I recently (10 weeks ago) had my baby girl--and she was 7 weeks early. No one knows why she came early and I wonder if all the QT I gave myself and the baby (and my husband gave us) while I was pregnant allowed her to stay in as along as she did? Would I have really had a super pre-term baby if I had not done QT? Would she have not been as healthy? (She's healthy and fat and happy now!!!) I don't know. And then I had tons of complications during the C-section-- I know QT helped me to stay calm but would I have even survived all the complications without it? (I had an abruption of the placenta from the uterus, an acreta (placenta grew into the uterus--95% of women get a hysterectomy right then and there but they saved mine) I hemorraged horribly, and had post complications too....). I really wonder what would have happened without QT. I guess we'll never know but I'm glad I used it as much as I did!
