Little did I know that the book, "Your Healing Hands", which I purchased in 1978, would have such a profound effect on me. It has been a journey since then, to find help for my Bi-polar daughter.
Ten years ago, my husband of 25 years left. I still had two little children at home, so I went to work cleaning others homes to help support them. However, I am now 55 years old and this is getting very tiring for me. I have always been interested in the healing arts, so a year ago, I took craniosacral I and just recently finished craniosacral II. However, it is required for me to become a massage therapist to get licensed in this healing modality. I am very good at this and have helped a lot of my friends and family. I am not able to quit my cleaning practice to go to school, as the money situation is such, I have to continue working. Now I find your website about Quantum Touch. I buy the book, to find you are the author of my wonderful polarity experience book. I have had some success with this, also. By combining some of these techniques, I have just spent the past two hours, working on my own spine. If I had not experienced it myself, I would not have believed it possible. When I was 17, I fell off a trampoline and injured C-4 through the thoracic area. It stuck out so far it looked like I had a hump on my neck. This morning I decided I could fix this problem. I asked for the co-operation of my inner self, and immediately I could feel movement in the middle of my spine. It first went down to the sacrum, then back up to the thoracic area, back down and up again. It felt like little fingers pushing my vertebra on both sides, ever so gently. Then, my neck started turning until it settled into a position that I determined was straight, because it started pulling, stretching, and turning my upper neck. It felt like it was going to pull out of it's socket. I wasn't afraid, because so far, it seemed to know exactly what to do. It took over two hours before all movement stopped, and a calmness came over me, and I knew it was finished. There is a 75% improvement in the neck area, and a constant pain I had in my thoracic area, between the breast, is now gone. I actually feel as if I can draw deeper breaths. What was so amazing, is it didn't follow a pattern I thought it would. It would straighten one area and then go to another. At one point, I'm sure I could feel my spinal cord slipping into position in the spinal cord. Does this sound crazy? I am so excited. Is this something I could possibly pursue a career in, without paying several thousands of dollars to go to school? I have helped numerous persons, not only with physical problems, but in releasing emotional problems. Of course, they did the work, I was just the facilatator. Your response would be most encouraging, I hope. Ha!! Didn't get much sleep last night, and I have a big cleaning day today, but I feel wonderful!! Thank You! Neely |

I hope you make a career of this. Let me respond to something else in your posting, though--your hope for help for your bipolar daughter. My bipolar son is taking a supplement that can be ordered via www.truehope.com. It's a nutritional supplement being researched at Massachusetts General Hospital. He has completely stabilized on this supplement and even more incredibly he is off all other drugs. There is research posted on the site as well as stories posted by many bipolar people who testify to the effectiveness of this supplement in treating the illness. Good luck to you and your daughter.

Yes, you can make a living doing the work. If touch is a concern in your state, you can get a Universal Life church minister certificate or some other ministerial certificate. The ULC ministerial certificate is basically free. As long as you don't manipulate tissue you can operate under the churches "laying on of hands" section.

Thank you, Alain. I am in the greater Portland, Or. area, and I'm not sure about the laws governing Oregon.
So...how do I begin??? ![]() |

I live in Or as well near Ashland.
Go to ulc.org Here you can see how to get your ministerial certificate. Basically it cost nothing and you just hit print. If you want to perform weddings etc. then you need to register yourself in the county you live in. If not don't bother. The web site will give you more info about being a minister. (realize that all this is my opinion, as far as legalities and the like. I have only talked to local boards as to what is required to be considered a LMT or what have you, not lawyers. I was told as long as I didn't advertise myself as a massage therapist I was ok. If legality is a major concern consult qualified legal aid. This is my hold harmless statement) Then advertise yourself as an energy healer. Start by letting friends know what you are doing and giving them mini sessions. As you gain confidence, let them know that you are open for business and what it costs for a session. I usually base the cost, at least initially, at the going rate for a massage in your area. Then put up flyers in the places you frequent as well as alternative book stores and coops etc. If people like the results, word of mouth will do the rest. ~Alain |

You may also consider becoming a Quantum-Touch instructor. As QT gains increasing recognition the workshops will be more and more profitable for the instructors.

Thank you. That was most helpful. I believe this is the course to take.
