I have a question/concern. If you are a male and youre doing QT sessions alone with women, should you be concerned about the potential for accusations of inappropriate behavior? Im not sure why this is a concern for me but it is. I know it happens. Any input would be helpful. Thanks

I have the same qualms, Tommy7.
How do you professionals overecome this particular phase of being? I try to have another, rather a chaperone, in the room with me. Is that the only way to go?

I have considered that yes, and infact believe that's the way I'm going to go. I will do the interview process alone with them but when it's time for the actual hands-on, I'll request another person in the room. Thanks

I am a female, and worked on a man, but had his wife in the room. He had pain in his testacle, I was sitting next to him, but used distant healing withouth touching him. The pain left immediately....Might keep in mind for sensitive areas.

Have you ever considered trusting "The Power That Knows the Way"?

With energy work we are not only consciously raising the vibration of our energy thru breathing, but it also has a profound effect upon the surrounding environment.....Consciousness has everything to do with this.

A great little book u might check out is 'The Human Aura' Astral Colors and Thought Forms by Swami Panchadasi.

I am not suggesting that u should do anything other than u are inclined or moved to do, because perhaps this is what you are being guided to do, but if in your Consciousness and your heart "all is well"... then if something of this nature should arise, it is in the destiny of each character to go thru this process for moving closer to 'Waking Up'. After all, "we're all hell-bound for heaven". : )

Altho then there's the story about..."Trust in God, but tether your camel'...or something like that. lol

Just two cents.

With Love,
Jessica

In my opinion, care should be taken in this matter. Also, keep in mind the issue of transference. There are people in this world who have never felt love so deeply and profoundly as when life force energy is being run on them. In the SC class love was absolutely bouncing off the walls in that room. A healthy well-adjusted person can go w/ the flow. However, a person who may have issues in this area could possibly experience transference.

I guess it's the psych background that makes me consider this issue of transference.

Besides the distance healing for sensitive parts, you can have the patient place her hand over the area needing treatment then place your hand on top of hers. That way you are only touching her hands. Nevertheless, to err on the side of caution is not a bad idea.

as the instructor that I help teach Lomi Lomi massage as your massaging the thigh. "go up as far as your heart is pure"
I would never run energy in someone breasts if a female or below the waist line with out their hand under mine, closer to their body then my hand.. Other then that i don't worry because I know what my hearts intent is when running energy. just my thoughts as a massage therapist/instructor

One thing I've done to help women feel safe if there was a breast lump or vulnerable area is I'd put my hand into a tripod position and say, "put my hand where you want it to be." People tend to feel safeer when they place you in a position rather than have you feeling around. As long as I kept my hand still, there was never a question or thought of me being out of line.

Even with members of my own gender (women) I make it a policy never to touch private areas. If I need to work on the breasts or pubic area, I will put my hands on the sides of the body or will do distant healing while sitting next to them. As for the guys, even with her hands in between her body and your hands, I wouldn't do it.

With the ability to heal at a distance, there really is no need to work near touchy areas. Using a surrogate while the person is in the room reporting on movement of pain should do the trick.

That is what it comes down to. Swan says distance healing has a higher rate of success anyway.

I must say that the success rate depends more on allowing than whether it is long distance or in person. In addition, I have founds bones move a bit faster in person than long distance as well, though I have had good experiences moving bones long distance, it often takes a few hours to take affect.

On what basis does Swan say that? Does he mean he has a higher success rate doing distance healing? I would assume that people who have a special talent for distance work have a higher success rate with distance work. I would imagine that people who don't, don't. Currently, I have a better feel for hands-on work and do better with that, though I am enjoying distance work much more than I used to.

Of course, it all depends on what you're used to, but based on my prior way of doing sessions, my clients would think I was being quite weird if I worked on a surrogate while they were in the room, and I would feel silly.

Precautions are always a good thing, since you never know who you're interacting with - but basically, my experience as a client is that if a male therapist has straightforward motivations, it communicates and I feel safe.

my background as a massage therapist/bodyworker I'm comfortable explaining to clients why I'm working as Im working.. Plus in Quantum-touch the clients are not naked, but if I was working the breasts I would have them put their hands over their breasts and my hands on top. but yes clients will feel the intent of your heart when touching. I've run lots of energy on clients where my hands were on their sacrum and below the belly area so to speak and I explained what I was doing and why and they were more then fine with it.. But I come from a Hawaiian Massage background where being close to your client and connected to them is needed and desired for their healing.
