Mr Stillman says to "presume intellect" and experiences a form of autism, Asbergers syndrome. The schools are not yet prepared to presume intellect, so one must find their own support group.
The greater majority of these people have a genius slot that would astound you, and will, when you find it.
Do look at Mr Stillman's site and read his books. An inter-library loan would make them available for a mailing fee.
Options Institute had success years ago. Also try to find a movie called "Sonrise."
