Does anyone know how to get from new website to this message board?

Sorry Ali, et al who sent me the same answer. There are some of us who can not click on the message tab on the home page, because it is not there. Where it should be is a gray bank space.

I have been in touch with Jennifer who is looking into this,bless her heart.

In the meanwhile, I have two ways to reach the message board:
1) die hard that I am, I had an icon shortcut on my desk top and
2) I can access it by finding a thread on google and going in by the back door as I call it

Oy I am sorry no help! I wonder if it is a certain operating system that's involved???? Well, if or when you do find out what the problem is, could you let us know in a post? My curiosity is way up!

Michelle, i discovered the same issue as yourself when using IE browser (although mine is V 6.0). Same is missing in Opera browser.
I use the Firefox browser 99 percent of the time, where all the buttons are showing up properly.
What I discovered in both Opera and IE, is that the “grey blank space” mentioned by Christina is a very narrow blank grey space, which is more like a thick vertical grey line. If I bring my mouse pointer down from the top of the buttons so as the arrow point is in the middle of the grey blank space (which as I said is more like a thick line on mine); if i keep bringing the pointer downwards until the point becomes a hand, and then click, the Forrum window opens from there. Actually in Firefox, I have my commonly used links such as the QT forum on the toolbar. This reduces the amount of clicking I do each day, and saves time.

After being asked yesterday in the chat room if i had the latest Microsoft patches for (Windows XP) Operating System; (which i don’t), I wondered weather that or the fact that i am only using SP1 (Service Pack 1) may be what is not allowing the extra button to appear normally, and weather one of these may be the case for you or anyone else experiencing the issue.
Just be aware that with a scenario of having a slow internet connection (eg dialup), and if one had to do a full update because it has either never been done, or it has not been done for a really long time, then it could take a really long time to download all the security patches (and whatever else gets updated). Some people just have the automatic update option ticked on their PC, so they remain up to date.

One way of finding out which Service Pack version you are using (Although I only know this for Windows XP it may be the same for other Windows operating systems as well), is to open the My Documents folder. (One way to access the My Documents folder is through the Start button)
Click on Help, and then About Windows in the menu.


As a temporary sollution, i wonder if installing Firefox might (???) get this functioning for you by using the firefox browser.

If you were wanting to explore the Firefox browser option, the browser is less than 6MB in size and can be downloaded from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ If you were to decide this option I recomend exploring the Options box (which is accessible from the Tools at the top of the tool bar in firefox once it is loaded) and tailoring what you want or don’t want before using the internet.. Such items as remember/ don’t remember passwords, block/ no block popups, etc. These are specifically changed from the Privacy tab from the box that opens up.
Since I started using this, I had far fewer problems and rarely any flags from my security software.

Mine is not a narrow gray space, nor a line.

On my homepage, to the right of the last tab on the first bar of tabs (which is "Contact")
and above the last tab on the second row of tabs (which is "Worldwide") is a gray space equal to the size of the missing tab. Because the borders (on my home page) are gray, this gray just continues into that space.
Everything else on the site is there and normal and perfect...I just can't access the message board from my homepage, because the linking tab isn't there.

I wish I could SHOW it to you and Jennifer. I tried copying it and e-mailing it to her, but everything came out scrambled!

The reason this concerns me is that I use the site and message board as a marketing tool. I always encourage folks to explore and even to use the message board search engine (find) to see if there are any stories from others about a specific condition or dis-ease they have an interest in.
