Dear Friends, I feel moved to post a few sentences about the HC, and in doing so I mean only to promote that wonderful group and to clarify and not divide!

On most days, someone will lead a meditation after the list of healing requests is posted. A bit of a problem has come up that we need to recognize and discuss, in regards to courtesy, "social chat" during that short period of meditation.

People enetering the chat late, after the meditation is in progress, sometimes tend to blurt a friendly "Hello" to the room, and likewise some people in the room immediately blurt a friendly "Hello" to anyone entering...even during a meditation.

Now here is the sticky part--Most of the ones who are doing social chatting during a meditation are persons who never lead the meditation, and do not fully grasp the effort and concentration that is required to do a good strong flowing meditation. Yes, of course, everyone is welcome and at any time!!

But please, for those who do not lead, (which is perfectly okay, by the way,) Please realize that for the person leading, their purpose is to raise vibration to a high level, number one, and to keep the energy flow moving, number two, so that distant healing work will be effective. It requires fast typing, clear thought, and intense concentration on the part of the leader.

Interruptions in the flow, social chat blurting on the screen at a time when the leader is intensely focused and intensely concentrating, just STOPS THE FLOW IMMEDIATELY, and wrecks the concentration of the person who is trying to do their very best for the clients and for the healing circle.

Now that I have offended some of you, may I please reiterate some points?

There is no formal "leader" of the healing circle! Every person is a leader! Just by being there, they demonstrate leadership, generosity, and love, and it is demonstrated by their wanting to help others by doing distant healing.

Everyone is welcome at any time!

Arriving on time is better than arriving late, but late is better than not coming!

Some of the meditations are "round-robins," with everyone contributing lines, as we go, and these are fun and participatory and most valuable, but still they are meditations, and not a time for social chat!

If you arrive late, would you just please wait, pause for a minute, and see if there is a meditation in progress? Greetings will be made after....You know you are wanted and loved and welcome and needed....but give the person who is putting out a n effort in leading a meditation a break by not interrupting it with social chat.

Our Circle has become a true Fambly....Being there most days is a wonderful "upper" for me personally, and I have learned so much from every single person.

If I have offended anyone by speaking my truth about the meditations and attendant courtesy that should attend them, I apologize to you. My goal is to do good healing work for others who need, plain and simple. I believe the meditations do get the energy up and help us in the work.

I popped into the Healing Circle today. I didn't know that's where I was until the meditation. Then I thought, "Uh oh! I'm one of the people that this thread is about." (I remembered seeing this thread before.) I'm glad that I didn't interupt the actual meditation. Maybe new people don't know where they are, like me, so don't realize that they shouldn't interupt but remain quietly. Wonder if there's some way to put that alert out? Like at work, our reps have a "Quiet please! Demo in Progress." sign to put on their office door so we aren't too loud in the hallway while they're on a web demo with a prospect.

I, too,agree with the main thing about waiting until one can see if meditation is already in progress before doing the'meet and greet' we all enjoy...even newbies...i think,tho,that many people have been turned off of even coming(this is before time was changed) by the way some got chewed out,and made to feel bad for greeting when they had been greeted.and i think because most of the 'old timers' are on same time zone,it will ensure that alot of people will not be coming anymore...even newbies. i will not be attending any longer due to both the time change,and the reaction from some of the people to 'the meet and greet' aspect of the hc....and i really have enjoyed it...for the most part anyway....oh,well,it was nice meeting people in the 'room'.maybe our paths will cross in 'another time zone'.thank you to all that have made me feel welcome

Amy, you are always welcome and always have been. The circle is meeting at the same time as before, plus there is some movement to have an evening circle. I am not sure of the time for that, but have visited the chat at various hours of the evening (U.S. time zones) and have not found anyone in the chat room.
