I am missing something on the Chat Room. when I get there I get a window that says Quantum Touch Chat room ate the top, but the box is blank. I can't click on it anywhere or see who is there or what is being said. What do I need? Probably something very simple. Lol. Thanks

When you get to the chat room, look up in the upper right corner where it says "Visitors." There will be a number there, which is how many people are present. If the number is 1, then you're the only person there, and there won't be any dialogue, lol.

If you see any number greater than 1, just type in a greeting and see what happens....chances are, someone will answer. At times people are "present" in the room but may step away from their computer, and not be aware that anyone else has entered, so be patient. Eventually you'll connect.

Try a test typing in the box at the bottom of the screen - with 'talk' button on the right. Hit talk when you're ready to post and your message should then show up in the main box above it!

must be something wrong with my computer...I don't see a talk button and there were 3 others in there when i visited earlier. None now. But thanks much to those who tried to help

actually, there is a 0 in the number of participants box when I am there. I can't find any other way to get in. I click on QT chat room and get a large blank box where I can't insert the curser!!!

Do you see the image of a person with arms outstretched turning as the page loads? I wonder if there's a problem with flash on your computer - sorry can't think of anything else to suggest! Try emailing the office, they might have more idea!

Try disabling your popup-blocker if you have one. That might be the culprit.

check to make sure your cookies are on and that Java is enabled as well.

I need help as well. i can't seem to enter the chat room. Keep getting this "connection failed" message. I've diasbled my pop-up blockers 'java enabled, cookies on..still no luck. What am I not doing right?

You could try using a different internet browser? That might help. Not really sure.

Maybe you need an update for Java?

Hi all, so glad that its not just me!! I have been trying for weeks to get into the chat room and also keep getting a blank screen.
I will keep watching this space and trying all the suggestions. See you in the chat room ONE DAY!!!!!

Sometimes it can help to empty the 'temporary internet files' and cache (sp). Not sure how to do it in IE since I use another browser, but try Internet Options under Tools.

I had one elluva tme getting into the chat room. I can not do it through AOL no matter what I do, or don't do. Had a Geek come check it out, he could find no way, either.

Finally, I learned to shut down whatever was on the screen, whatever isper I was using and go to the Internet Browser.

Using the Browser, I can find, access and speak in the chat, and in the rest of the site.

Before I enter, I make preparations: I clean out The International Browser Cookies, Temp Files, History, then use the erase my footprints that can be found on AOL.
Then, I turn off aol and use the browser entirely.

I sure hope this works for others. I know I missed alot not getting there from here.
