Hello all,
Is anyone finding that my mandala is huge? It's only normal-sized when I look on the message board. I know some others have had this problem (I remember Mr. Wilson's huge photo avatar)

If I have this too (Marie mentioned it in the healing request forum), has anybody figured out how to fix it? Can I just shrink the size of my jpeg?

Hello there Alfred. Nice mandala. It is a little big, and yours is just like Mr. Wilson's. It is really large, but then the browser scales it down to something more reasonable. Occasionally certain browsers do not scale it down, so you might have a problem there.

What I would do is open the picture in some program like Photoshop or Photoshop Elements (or GIMP which is free) and change the dimensions of the image file. I think that a size of 150 x 150 or 150 x something else is good. The first # is the width. Your image is square, so make it 150x150, save it, and upload it just like this one.

That should do it for you!

I managed to zoom in and get a good look at it. Nice mandala. It has its own energy about it. (or could it be my own response to the color pattern relationships creating the energy or vibration i perceive from it)

I got the large image the first time accessing a post with your new image, and then it scaled down once it was fully downloaded. I imagine it may be slow for dial up users when first opening a post with the Mandala at its current 300KB size. There is one other user with the image that is more than double that size, which i think on dial up would take a minute and a half at least, just for that image, plus the rest of the post to load up the first time.
Strange thing is that when (several months ago) i put in a large file size image for my own picture/ avatar or whatever the correct name is, it scaled it down to something like 11KB. So it is beyond me how Groupee sorts the avatars/ pics differently.

Alfred if you right click on you beautiful Mandala
click on properties it will tell you the size. Yours is 150x149 and file size is 305.43KB.

Actually Debbie, his image is larger than that. No image that small should ever be over 300KB in size! You see 150 x 149 because that is what it was scaled down to on the fly by Groupee.

If you right click on the image and say view image (or open image in new window) you will see that it is really 578 x 576.

So he just needs to resize it, which will also make it much smaller in file size.

Ah, what the heck. I did it for you, Alfred. Attached is a version that looks pretty good, is 150 x 149, and it is 16KB in size, rather than 305!
