I'm not sure I understand. The chat I've been involved in was not broken..... why are we trying to fix it? My two cents is that if you want to get together another group with rules for this and rules for that, more power to you!! Just please, please, please leave our current morning and evening meetings in the regular chat room alone. Or.... perhaps I've misunderstood the intentions here?

What we currently have is quite fine...and I'm OK with that.

No FWAPs meant to anyone who wants guidelines. What would be wrong with having another group for those that feel they need or want guidelines? Then the group that has always been can just go on as they always have and the new group can do what they feel will help and encourage group healing sessions? Isn't America all about choice? Why do we all have to be ducks in a row? It would definitly add some diversity and that is always welcomed.

BTW I am Nancy also and the refrence made in Jana's first post is not me.... I'm a not guidelines kinda kid

No apologies necessary, it is Ok I think to use the meditation room for things like New Years, coming up, or any other scheduled time for any other healing reason. My point is that I still think we should be able to do healing work in the old chat room. It WASN"T broken.

Use the meditation room, fine, have guidelines, fine. But I surely would love to see ur good ole chat stay the same or maybe go back to some meditations there too.

Like you, Jana, I love the chat, the Fambly, and would miss it terribly. I just don't think we should have to choose between chat and only chat in one place and if we want to do healing work, we have to move. I think that's asking too much.

I think there might be a bit of confusion. The "old" chat has worked beautifully. I think the only thing that was "broken" was no one has taken the lead to set up (or follow up with) specific times for exclusive meditation or healings. We get too busy, there seems lack of interest for awhile, and things fall by the wayside.

We could eliminate the confusion, I think, by first vowing to allow the original chat to evolve as it has. Then to setting up specific meditation or healing times for the more formal event. (Jana was just trying to do the latter as was requested. Thank you Jana for jumping into it. Hugs.) Actually, meditation and healing might be two different things sometimes at least. Did I just open another hornet's nest? Or maybe that's something for later after this one's established?

Also, when is the new circle? It doesn't seem to be common knowledge yet. Or I've missed it....

Just to let anyone following this thread know....

that the time of 10:30am PST has been used a few times to hold scheduled classes, meditations and healing circles.

Seems to be a good time for those in Europe as it's nicely after dinner time.

For the first class, Dennis taught us a new technique and then we held a group healing circle afterwards. The event drew quite the room full of people (@ 12)!

Maybe a post in the General topics board including information like:
- Reason for meeting
- Date
- Time
- to be held in the healing chat room
- let people know if a healing circle is to be held afterwards so they can bring their healing lists.

The one I participated in went quite well. Dennis led a nice class, and then I and Jelena and Tami took turns leading the healing circle, each adding our own visualizations/meditations for the group.

Anyway, I just want to encourage everyone to please go ahead and schedule even a group healing circle in that chat room, and see if there are others who might like to share the leading of the event if you're not entirely comfortable with doing it all yourself.

The forums are expanding with new board topics every day as people are finding a need for it. The chat rooms are no different. Enjoy them!!
