It would be nice that when you come to this site the line which tells you how many people are visiting, would include how many...if any, are in the chat room. It might encourage others to join in and meet.
I visited a site recently that had a mediation chat room, a just chat room why can't QT? It might be nice to have those and maybe one for the healing circle.
The Healing Circle is open to all and uses the chat room for about an hour and a half per day, at a scheduled and well-publicized time. The chosen time was the best time for the most people, arrived at after lengthy discussions and votes. The remaining 22.5 hours are completely open for "just chat," or for anyone to use for a healing circle in the evening, or to set up a meditation time, or whatever. Most of the time nobody is in the chat room. I've checked at all hours of the day and night, and only on a few occasions have I found anyone there at all. (Other than at the Circle hour.)
I don't think we need a "special purpose" chat room, since the one we have is vacant most of the time. The chat room is a wonderful gift that is given to us by Quantum Touch, (Thank you, Richard...) and while some use it on a daily basis for an open, leaderless healing circle, it is grossly under-utilized at most other hours of the day.
If you want to set up other meetings there, the opportunity exists, & there is plenty of open time, so go for it...It's a wonderful resource! Enjoy it and have a good time!
whether jaybean was just brainstormin',or what,i think it would be a wonderful idea....to have a chat room just for questions,and greetings,and catching up......although it is kinda hard to set up a time when people 'hide' their status....i think jaybean had a great idea! thanks!
