How do I?
I gave a user a rating once or twice - but now I can't.
I want to upgrade a rating - and it won't let me or else I just can't find out how (the later I am sure!)
Thanks!

NinG,
I also would like to know why our stars are disappearing?
I had five, then four..
When I looked at others, I saw they also had been de-starred... I am curious as to why?

NinG,
For some odd reason, I thought you would know about the de-starring! OY!
Sorry.
I can't find the place either....

Hi, NinG & Zen - if you mean that you can't give a rating at all to someone, that's a problem. However, the norm is that once you give a rating to a particular person, that's it - it will just say what you gave that person. If a person has a 5-star rating and someone gives them a 1-star rating, either by mistake or on purpose, it will average out the two ratings into a 4-star rating - the only way to get it up to 5 stars is for lots & lots of other people to make a 5-star rating.

...would be the best. They are a bizarre and arbitrary element of the message board. What real purpose do they serve other than to stroke or bruise ego's? If you want to rate someone, write them and tell them they are wonderful. It's strange to hange this ratings "yoke" around the members' necks. My understanding is that the function came with the software sold to Q-T, and was not something specifically requested. Perhaps it can be disabled or removed.
We are all five stars.
Christian.

Agree totally Chris, ratings are unnecessary and everyone on the boards deserves at least five stars! And I'm not saying that just because mine has plunged from five to three lately, either! (lol)

You said it all, Chris. I never have understood the need to rate anybody on this forum.

I too agree, no ratings. Had a long wordy post to explain away the ratings, tried to put into list, and came up with zip.
Maybe the system is trying to tell us something about the length of our postings? LOLOLOL

At least you were spared a days reading and babbling......

Gentle Healing Hugs,

You know what - you're absolutely right!
I don't look at peoples ratings to see if I want to read their post or not - if the post was helpful - I appreciate that person - if it wasn't - I still am thankful for the knowledge...hmmm - who really cares how many stars are behind your name...and by the way - thank you to anyone who gave me any...but I would give them up....like zen says..."I love myself enough to change myself."

God Bless us all - no matter how many stars are with us!
