Has anyone worked with clients who have herniated discs? And if so what changes did you observe?
Thanks. Jia |

Hi Jia,
I am now working on a woman with three herniated discs and two ruptured discs. I have found that her body will repair itself AS I WORK, then when all is done and feathers smoothed, she calls in about two days, and away we go again, same thing.(docs want to put steel rods in her back. she wont have it.) The discs are very slowly repairing themselves, as she goes to the doctor every time I work on her for a new set of x-rays. She gets them before she comes, then right after she has been treated. as I see the x-rays, and the doctor sees the pics, he is astounded that anything can happen without surgery, which she is trying to avoid. I have no particular manner I use, trying to vary it a bit each visit. So far we have worked for about 3 months on repair. The scars from two previous operations for the area are also disappearing. Her pain is much less, from 1-10 she started at 15 (?) and is down to about 6 now. I am unable to speak with the doc, as she and he live in a state far away, and she comes here as often as she can. Never able to schedule her in any way. just start working when she pulls up. One odd thing here: to help her, her husband took QT at my request. He saw things happen under his hands, knew he was able to work, and started on her back. SheSCREAMED! For some reason, he cannot touch her at all with QT. I don't know why, have never heard of this before. Anyone else have this happen? zeneagle "Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul and sings the tune without words and never stops at all" |

Hey Zen
Does he do it long distance on her but in the same room? - just a thought. Also maybe what Alan says instead og firehosing maybe she just needs a mist - maybe you have discussed that with her - but thought it may be worth mentioning. Love Wendy "Expect miracles" |

Hi Zen,
I have severe back problems myself and yes herniated discs. I've had the problem for several years ... But this is not about me! I can tell you some secrets though. Anyone who knows me I almost daily do heavy lifting of patients, yard work etc. Things that flare it up: Not bending at the knees when I lift. Not keeping my body in a position of power when standing, (feet seperated with small step inbetween) wearing shoes that soles are worn. Car seats/chairs that tilt the pelvis...not running energy when I begin a task. But more then anything....emotions. EFT is wonderful for back problems. Also I suggest that you find the pressure points in the back. These are literal knots that you can feel in the back. Send energy to each of them with the intent of dissolving them. The poke technique may help. The one exercise I would definitely teach is laying on the back. One knee to the chest and in a straight line move it to the midline and hold for a count of ten. While holding do deep breathing exercises. Repeat on the other side. Exercise is being done correctly if a pull is felt in the glutes. If you notice, I concentrate on the pelvis and emotions. When first learning about chakras, durring a flare I spun the pelvic chakra, (red), this did not turn out to be a positive experience. This is probably because I associate the color with angry emotions...now I use gold or visualize that I'm back floating in a creek and absorbing energy from the water. Works for me. Anyway hope this gives you some ideas. |
