I am currently attending a massage therapy school in Colorado. I just happened to come across this website while reading about the Touch Institute in Florida. I am searching for another modality to add to my training as a massage therapist. I would just like some more information regarding how Quantum Touch would add to this field once I graduate. I have noticed that I am having a hard time finding my beingness while practicing massage. Beingness is very important in massage and although I know it is within me, I am having a hard time being. Would becoming a Quantum Touch Practitioner help in this area?

YES!!!!!!!!!!!
We now have several Quantum Touch persons roaming loose in Denver. To contact any of us, the easiest way is to call The Denver Gemstone Co. in Cherry Creek at 303 595 0965. As a matter of fact the woman who answers the phone is an one of us, from Israel! We DO get around... Her name is Batya. A kind, caring woman of great intelligence, she will be able to answer your questions directly, or send you on to one who can help you find our group here. Difficulties arise at times, and we are rather mobile at the moment. Many gentle healing hugs, I hope you find what you seek. zeneagle |

I would say Quantum Touch can definitely be an asset to you as a massage practitioner. As far as connecting with your "beingness", give it time. Here's a story-- A friend of mine was an unlicensed massage therapist for many years. She had learned from a Native American medicine man, and from working on animals. She's very intuitive/psychic and could see and feel what was needed. Then she went to massage school so she could be licensed. Learning all the physical stuff--anatomy, different strokes, draping, etc., took her into her left brain and made it hard to connect with the "beingness". But after she finished school and no longer had to focus on all that so much, it came back to her. So never fear!!! It will return.

Qt and massage. Is a wonderful combo. I use QT by itsself or with my massage depending on the client. If you remember but one thing about massage work or any type of healing assistance work it is this: "Be here now" when you are working on a client don't be thinking of the client you just had or the client your going to see next. or what your doing to do that nite or weekend. I can run energy on a client while doing my Hawaiian massage. The clients melt with it. I love doing some of the core transformation work while doing my massage. I use QT work on trigger points. Also Cranial Sacral work as well.
feel free to write me if you have other questions on QT and massage. |

Quote: Hi Zeneagle..I signed up last night, and I bet there is room for more. I think Chris B said he attended a basic workshop in Chicago with Richard and there were 250 people. Hopefully Dennis and Kathy won't have their hands that full! Been meaning to ask you if Honker's vet is Dr LaBonde at Homestead An Hosp.? I won't be there Fri night as I'm working, but I'm looking forward to meeting the Denverites and others (I'm from Co Spgs). Sherrie |

Been meaning to ask you if Honker's vet is Dr LaBonde at Homestead An Hosp.? YES! There is another beloved vet? Jerry is gonna be there on the Friday evening session. I have sincere doubts, (you know him) that he will be there for the entire weekend. He may have an emergencybe unable to sit through the thing. He is booked solid, and his back hurts. Wish he wasn't so stubborn-I would have loved to help him, but you know how he is. Took me about two years to convince him that this stuff works! I hope you can get that night off, smehow, as I wouldn't want you to miss Honker and Jerry meeting onstage. Should be hilarious. The two of them have a pretty good working bond: Jerry heals Honker, and Honks bites Jerry. Works for Honker! (Maybe we can towel Jerry?) I have asked Kathy, who relayed my request to Dennis, I think, to use Jerry as the Healing of the evening. She agreed. Any way, our beloved vet, Jerry LaBonde of Homestead Animal Hospital, Englewood,(303 771-7350) is gonna be there. a few (HAH!) simple miracles. Look up Honkers story, if you don't know it- it is here in one or another of the posts, happened on theFourth of July, so you should be able to find it. Honker is a Hahns minimacaw who had been bitten FOUR times we finallly found, through his skull and into his brain. Honks is still recovering, but has not far to go. We have all been working on him since it happened onthe Fourth of July, it has been ongoing. Jerry is a wonderful avian and exotics vet,I think. He let me snivle, took over when I was into meltdown, healed my dearly beloved heart bird and is all around the best guy I know. Including Husband, who is a pretty good man too! Get the night off somehow! Two proven healers, and many of us who are not proven but good are going to work on him. Are you a bird person? Any way, hope to see you there. zeneagle I won't be there Fri night as I'm working, but I'm looking forward to meeting the Denverites and others (I'm from Co Spgs). |

Hi Zen!
When you call Jerry "beloved vet" I understand. He is an awesome avian and exotics vet, though living in the Springs I have only seen him a few times. I've worked at two vet hospitals in the Springs in the last 4 1/2 yrs, so most of my pets (depending on the species and the nature of the problem) go to where I work. I have followed Honker's story, and it's incredible that he's alive, and even more that he doesn't have extensive neurological damage. Congratulations to both of you! I would so LOVE to see the "show" on Fri night, and now you have lured me even more! You actually got Jerry to sign up;WOW! Getting off work would probably be too difficult (can't offer my firstborn as he is too old), and driving back and up again the next morning wouldn't leave me with much time/energy. Can't stay in Denver cause of sons and pets who need me here! Any chance someone could video tape Fri night's festivities? I will expect a full report at least ![]() I've loved birds since I was a child. Have 3 fluffballs beside me. I stick with the smaller members of the parrot family-Tiels and Budgies. Used to do rescue/raising of many indigenous species. I bet Jerry's back will be helped. I have to hear about it! Are we going to wear name tags or something to identify us? See you next weekend! Re: How Massage Therapy relates to Quantum Touch
um.......Not quite right on that "sign up" business. I would so LOVE to see the "show" on Fri night, and now you have lured me even more! You actually got Jerry to sign up;WOW!<~ quote from angelheart More like I have "accidently" run energy into him when he was defenseless, so he could feel it, and the other 3/4 of it is sheeeeeeeer nag him to death. He is such a great guy, but OMG is he stubborn. Once when Honks and I were waiting in room 3, where you can durn near hear everything said, I heard Jerry put an animal down, which as you know, rips him up inside. I could hear the change in the voice, the whole thing. (I wish he wasn't such an empath, buthe won't even HEAR the word, you know him.) He was emotionally exhausted from a long day, culminating with a horrible experience for him. As we waited, I had a wonderful idea, and began to build up a massive charge. then keep it going till he arrived about 45 minutes later. I stood to the left of the door, behind it, sorta, and Jerry came through, reading Honkers chart. I stepped in front of him, TOLD him (and lived) to stand still for about two minutes, did a healing charge on him, which was a massive build up, by sandwiching his chest and back, without even touching him. He looked up at the end of the charge, straight ahead at the other door. (I think he was checking to make sure he had a way to run if needed!) In his most excited voice, he said" My, that was an odd feeling". You know him, you know how that was meant-he really was excited. OY! He didn't sign up for the entire weekend, I wish he could. But he will be there on the Free Friday Demo/Lecture, which I hope goes spectacularly, as Jerry is coming close to using it to help others. If you know him personally, which I dont, just from Homestead hospital, and the old Nelson Clinic, maybe you could help with him? I dont mean in any way to force him to learn,he IS learning, but I may be dead before we manage to drag him into the real world.(Okay, so I am lying through my teeth. Any way I can get this really marvelous vet/man to learn this, I am gonna.) Any and all help, appreciated. (He does have me work on the worst of the pluckers, have you guys seen "Baby"? He is fine now...I wish I could use names, but... He will have me work on any bird that is not responding to ANYTHING, and some massive miracles have resulted.) Really interested in meeting you, and as to name tags, I don't know much about how this is done.Kathy and Dennis have been the brains behind the entire thing, I only do the leg work here, and am not great at it. My first time out, and I am as excited as you are! Gentle hugs and healings, zeneagle |
