Fambly: I asked QT Admin to check into the difficulties that people have been having getting into the chat, and Ksue in Admin. wrote to Groupee, (THANK YOU!) and this is the reply. I hope you will all find it helpful, if you've had difficulty getting in.

If this does NOT solve it for you, please email ksue@quantumtouch.com and give specifics as to what is happening when you have the problem.

About five of our users are complaining about not being able to access the chat room.

They report getting a blue screen.

Do you have any idea what is causing this or how to fix it?

Hello, KSue:

These are the steps our QA specialists recommend.

Please send the following text to the users who are having problems:

I know you may have done these things individually, but please try completing them in this order:

1) Go to http://quantumtouch.groupee.net/eve/cookies
2) Choose option 2 & say yes to the prompts
3) Clear your Browser Cache
4) Close then Re Open the Browser
5) Re-Log into the site and try to log into chat
6) If the above do not help, Re-Install the Flash client for the Browser.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, please write back with the following:

1) The type/version of your operating system
2) The type/version of your browser
3) Whether you're accessing the internet through a firewall or proxy servier
4) Your flash version:

Followed the above instructions. While no change on chat (still just the dancing man, then blue screen), it did wipe out my home page and dozens of stored (and forgotten) log ins and passwords.

Have tried it with IE7, Firefox, and Chrome. Have also been in it in the not too distant past.

Oh, grrrr...I am sorry to hear! There are instructions at the bottom of the post about contacting groupee, the information they need. All I can do is to wish you sincere good luck!

What i do to get into the chat room is the following.
First though, it did not matter what i changed, browser, new identity, different computer.

What worked was after a little story stuff, entered into chat the usual way. The little man spins and am left with a blank screen, like it is frozen. NO one is there, only the blank tab is and the divider screen. THEN right clicked on the screen, which exposes a menu with choices. The check mark was on loop, so clicked play and the little being spins again and into chat i went, name on the right side and yes people present in chat...might have to do this a few times and yes and cannot see what i am typing, though what is typed shows up on the screen( entering it of course in the usual way and YES everyone can read it......this appeared a while back, when at one time any browser i used worked or flash player.....anyways its what worked for me and maybe can for you.....best of luck to your spinning in....douglas

Of course I was in this big empty room all by my lonesome listening to mine own voice echo and reverberate around but that's not the point.

I got in. It's the first time in a LONG time I've been able to do that.
