Hi Fambly,
My sister has 2 older horses, both 27 yrs old. My niece was riding one, and the horse tripped. It was very evident that the horse tried to recover without falling on my 9 year old niece, but apparently the horse fell and landed on its head. It was stuck with it's head folded under it's neck, and my sister thought for sure the horses neck was broken. With no other help available, my sister and her 2 daughters prayed over the horse. They made one last attempt to get help at the farm next door, and when they went back to the horse, she had some how gotten up.

They have her on pain meds, and have checked on her regularly. She seems to be acting fine, besides a little stiff, but has a large lump on her neck.

If anyone could send love to the horse for healing of this lump, and the emotional trauma to the horse and the kids, I would greatly appreciate it. Unfortunately, I can't remember the horse's name, but my sister is Julie, and her daughters are Beth and Emily in Canfield OH.
Thanks in advance.

Love and Blessings
Jen

Me again, sorry.

Horse seems to have pulled out a muscle in the top of its neck connecting the spine to the skull.
Has the vet been called in?

Horse mentioned it was in terrible pain, described a "migraine" feeling.

Wants the children to come to it and let it know that it has harmed no one, to place their little hands on the lump and the area above lump and below lump.

Very upset.

Sorry, no more is coming through.

Thanks everyone for your quick action.

Zen, I will pass along what you are getting from her. Thanks loads. I don't know if a vet has been called, as I heard the story thru my mom, who was down there visiting when the accident happened. I will call my sister tomorrow.

Love and Hugs
Jen

We are so blessed to be among such wonderful creatures! When you call it would be wonderful to know this beautiful soul's name. I will add her angel spirit to my 24/7 list for a time to heal her lump and allowing her blood to flow normally through her again....or him (giggle)

Thank you everyone who is sending. I talked to my sister before I left town and got the full story. What an amazing creature she is. It was very evident to my sister that the horse tried very hard not to fall, or fall on Beth. She said everything happened in slow motion. She went down on her knees, and Beth "popped" off, then she fell on her head and went over. Poor thing has teeth marks on her shoulder from he mouth being stretched that far back. What a scary site that must have been.

On the good side, she is doing remarkably well. They tried to put her on stall rest, but she would have none of that. She was kicking at the door and wanted out with her pasture mate "Lucky". She is eating, drinking, grazing, but is still a bit stiff. She had 2 lumps on her neck, but now there is only one. My sister did have a friend who does chiropractic work on horses come out and take a look at her. He said, for her age, and what happened, she is doing really well. She is on a pain reliever, but will not allow my sister to apply the herbal horse version of "icy/hot" on the area. But most of all, they are trying to fill her with positive everything. When they go to see her they tell her what a good horse she is, and it wasn't her fault, and she did the best she could. Hopefully, she is feeling better every day, both physically and emotionally.

Thank you for all your love and concern. I will update when I can...and finally get the name of the horse! If it helps, she is a Leopard Appaloosa--white horse that has spots all over instead of just on the rump like a regular Appaloosa, except with age, her spots have faded, and so she is mostly white.

Love and Hugs
Jen

Hi Fambly,
I just got back from a much needed vacation to FL, and checked in with my sister on the status of her horse. The horse seems to be doing fine, though she still has a bulge on one side of her neck. She has been off the pain medication for a few days, and is acting no different than when she was on them. I did find out her name, it is "Newy". Her registered name is "Nuisance Nugget", but she has always been called Newy. They are going to let her be on pasture rest for 4 weeks, no riding, then evaluate her to see is she can or should be ridden again. My sister said she has always been prone to tripping, since they have only had her for the last year or two, and they are concerned that she may have some neurological problem causing the tripping. If that is the case, then she really isn't safe to be ridden, as next time, it could be worse.

Thank you so much to those who have sent loving healing energy to Newy and my family. It means so much to us all.

Love and Hugs

Jen
