Thank you all....

Just had an email from Julie. She had the cast removed yesterday and is now using only a sling. Unfortunately her arm/wrist/hand did not cope so well with the reduced support and she hardly slept last night. The pain is much worse.

She acknowledges that perhaps she was a little impatient.. but I guess I would be too! She still feels that she is progressing, however. The removal of the brace/cast will help stop further atrophy of her arm and hand.

Julie said the pain is rather hard to deal with right now. Anything you can send is much appreciated.

Hi fambly,

Julie is doing "ok" considering...she sometimes has terrible back/shoulder muscle spasms. She was also extremely tired last night and in a lot of pain, but is hanging in there. The night before that was better and Julie got some decent quality sleep.

Todd is a little better (he varies from day to day), and Shadow is doing well.

Hi fambly, thank you so much for continuing to send!

Julie's computer has thrown another wobbly - she was hoping to update this thread over the weekend but this looks unlikely now!

Julie has been in very severe pain. Having seen the Doc it appears that Julie is experiencing an immune response to the surgery (not a complete surprise, but an unwelcome occurrence!) It has been possible to prescribe a different medication to help with this, but it may take a while for any effect to be felt.

Todd has his hand surgery booked for Thursday 31 July, noon EST.

All we can do to help Todd and Julie is to keep sending energy and love, and I know she would want to express her deepest gratitude to all who have sent and continue to send.
