Good morning gentle-beings. I have come to you with a request from my family.

My wife's nephew Steven is at Seattle Childrens Hospital at this moment having brain surgery to try and eliminate his epilepsy that he has suffered from for years. He has a lesion in a portion of his brain that is considered operable.

If anyone can contribute a little positive energy his way it would be most appreciated.

A quick update on Steven:

After a 5 hour surgery where they removed and reinstalled a 4"x3" section of his skull and removed what looks to be a small benign tumor from his brain, Steven is in recovery and healing nicely. I am told that he is pretty grumpy, but other than that things are progressing as they should. I do not know specifically whether or not the intended outcome of eliminating his epileptic seisures hsa been achieved. That will likely take a little time to determine. But he is doing well otherwise.

Thank you all for your thoughts and healing energy. It is greatly appreciated by the whole family, especially my wife who put in the initial request. (knowing that you folks are such a fine bunch of reubens!)

Thank you for the update. That's a good portion of the little guy's skull that they were messing with ; I might be a just little grumpy as well. More for our little trouper, healing, pain relief and his mood....

It sounds like the little tumor was pressing on something causing the seizures. We sahll all intend that the cause has been removed and hsi revovery will be so awesome that the Docs will be astounded!!!!!

Glad to hear the good report. Would you happen to know if, during surgery, they did EEG testing, or a study called "evoked potentials?" I am nosey, you know, LOL. At any rate, he's still on my list. Let us know how it goes!
