I am new to this forum so firstly i will say HI.

My Mother (69yrs old) has just been taken in to the hospital today and diagnosed with a ovarian tumour which has started to metazise (sp) in to her liver. She is to have an urgent paliative operation tomorow morning to stop the tumour from bursting which they say would be iminent if it was left any longer. She is having the operation at 08:00am this morning (+7hrs GMT) and I ask that anyone willing to give healing do so for a successful outcome and that she is able to carry on with life. She was such a strong woman both mentally and physically before this and i pray that she gets as strong again after it.

Thanks for any and all healing and prayers for my Mother.

Hi All who have been so kind in giving ther time to send healing to my Mother,

I firstly want to thank you all for your help, it is greatly appreciated.

My Mother had her operation today, later than scheduled (actually at 5pm this evening) due to low blood pressure and acidosis. However, she got to thte theater in the end and they managed to operate. What they found was that she actualy had NO cancer (after having ultrasound and CT scan!) which was a great thing but they found that she had perforated colon on the left side which they said was very rare and a mass on the right side caused by impaction of the waste matter that had been gathering for i dont know how long due to her suffering from IBS. They also found that her distended stomach was caused by faeces being released in to the stomach from the perforated colon. They cleared everything out and put a souture in the perforated colon and a drainage in the mass and then performed a colostomy.

The doctor has said that as long as she remains strong enough to fight the infection tonight (as she had been for the past 7 weeks) then she would be fine. She is a very strong willed lady and i and friends are praying for a quick and full recovery.

The doctor has ordered that she be sedated so that she can accept and receive the strong antibiotics that they are now putting in to her to combat any and all infection.

If anyone else would like to send healing energy for my Mother then this night would be the ideal night to do it for her so that she can remain strong and get through this. I will be back with her tomorow at 7 and will update you all again tomorow as to her recovery.

Once again, i would like to thank everyone for their help and thoughts in this time.

Hi,

Firstly i would just like to thank everyone for their kind help and wishes.

However, sadly my Mother never regained conciousness after the operation and died on the morning of the 8th June. It is the single hardest thing that i have had to cope with in my life and so very difficult to come to terms with.

BTW: please do NOT come to thailand for any medical treatment, it is ALL money and no compassion at all. My Mothers 6 days stay in hospital cost over $20,000. They change the doctors every day as they dont trust each otehr to give the right diagnoses and, as they say, if one doctor gives a wrong diagnoses/treatment its no problem as it will hopefully be picked up by the next doctor tomorow!! I have had 5 different diagnoses of my Mothers condition, not one of them the same. Even the death certificate has a completely different cause of death than anything ever mentioned or that she was treated for!!

Dear Andy, I am so very sorry for your loss. My mom also passed away at the age of 69, and I remember how hard it was. It's just hard to lose your mom at any age.
