I have just had a 'tearful' email from my sister Liz, to say her father-in-law has phoned, and Liz's mother-in-law is in intensive care in Scotland.

My sister doesn't know yet what the problem is as her father-in-law was incoherent, but the Docs say it is not good.

She has given me permission to ask the fambly for help. Can you help...please?

Liz's mother in law is called Elizabeth Chalmers.

As I can get more info I will update here. I can't recall the exact location in Scotland. I just wanted to get this on quickly.

(My sister and her husband are living in the US at the moment so this kind of news is pretty hard on them, being so far away.)

My sister and Martin are flying from Virginia to Scotland tonight.

I have asked Liz for a more detailed location but not sure how much time she'll have to check emails/update. Once in Scotland, she'll have no internet connection at all, and it'll be mobile phone only.

Liz is frantically packing but has managed to dash off another email:
She thinks the hospital is Stirlingshire (I quickly checked Google, seem to be several hospitals there! ).
They cant pinpoint exactly what is causing Elizabeth to be so ill.
She had high BP and they also found gall stones, but the Docs say there must be more! She has Muscular
dystrophy anyway (I haven't had time to research that, yet.)

Liz'll let me know if she hears more and has a way to communicate (we're not quite there with the telepathy skills yet I'm afraid.)
