Hi all

Martin has been in Scotland again and I have an update from yesterday:

Danny and Martin saw Elizabeth in the afternoon and she was good, chatty etc but tired at the evening visit and not really taking much notice of them! however she is in a noisy ward, there are machine beeps, and people talking all the time, so she probably doesn’t sleep too well at night.
The docs are trying to see if they can move her straight to Falkirk Hospital, much closer for Danny and probably a nice little hospital, so we shall see what happens.

For those kind souls still sending:

Elizabeth is doing better, she is in a ward and the nurses weren’t doing everything as apparently they hadn’t been told what she needed!!
One didn’t even know what muscular dystrophy was or that Elizabeth had it!! Danny spoke to the Doc last Thu/Fri and since then she has improved a lot more, Liz thinks that the lack of care/attention/meds just made her tired and not wanting to bother ... but she is in good spirits now. Still planning on getting her to Falkirk at some point.

Liz has also had a UTI over the last few days and is still - erm - a little sore, so any help you can give to that would no doubt be appreciated!

This has been a rather lengthy ordeal for all.
I am still thrilled Elizabeth has made it through this most difficult time! This can be an extremely difficult recovery!

I hope and pray Elizabeth is having all of her health needs met... on all levels I also hope Danny, Martin and Liz are feeling supported.

I hope Liz has a full recovery from recent discomforts... pronto!

Just a brief update for those kind souls still sending

Liz says that Elizabeth was yesterday transferred to Falkirk hospital, which is smaller and closer to home, much more friendly. And the Doctor who runs out knows quite a bit about Muscular Dystrophy.

Ironically on 1 July Danny goes into the hospital that Elizabeth has just left, for an op on his knee! This has been planned for a while. Martin will be in Scotland that week so will be able to keep an eye on both his parents.

Oh Jo, I am so glad she is getting moved. What a relief it will be for the family. I will be able to have a session with her later this afternoon.

My heart is still thrilled each time I am reminded that Elizabeth has made it through this ordeal!

I am glad she has moved closer to home and will continue great care!

I have noted Danny's sugery date. Yet, please do remind me as we get closer! Happy to assist more intensively on that day, as well.

Will also be offering traveling mercies on Martin's behalf.

Julie, yes I guess so!!! He is opening up to the idea of energy work but has a little way to go

Huge thankyous to anyone who was/is sending to Danny for his op on Tuesday.

Liz says: Danny’s op went well, when he woke his left leg was pain free so that’s great, he is on painkillers too but I think he was really chuffed!! He has a Zimmer now so he will be using that for a while but I think he wants to just use a stick if he can!! Hopefully he’ll get out before Martin leaves!!
