Hello Friends,

Today I was at the hospital having tests for about 6 hours with a very bad head and chest cold with pains in the chest on the left side. The doctor said that I may need a MRI because the blood tests confirm a blockage on my left upper lung which could be ether pneumonia or a life threating clot or as simple as an infection from the cold. My heart is good but the pain in the lung is close to the left part of my heart and thus the worry. I have decided not to take the MRI as I'm allergic to shellfish and the other option was a radiation injection which did not sound to safe ether.

Please send me some help so that I don't have to go back and that it will be just a simple infection as that is what I believe it is and help me to get sleep tonight as I was up most of last night cleaning my nasal passages with salt and water. Also help my blood pressure to lower a bit as I usually get that way when I'm congested like this. I'm from Mass in the USA which is in the Northeastern part of the USA.

You can't have an MRI if you're allergic to shellfish? Why not? I don't understand.
