please lets all of us get together and pray for Barbaro the horse who broke his leg in Saturdays race. He is a young 3 year old with the hopes that he would have won the triple crown. He will never race again but can be used for breeding. They operated on him 5 hours on Sunday and he came through okay but still has a 50/50 chance on survival. He broke his rear right leg above and below the ankle in 3 places. I have been sending him energy since this happened and hope we can all join in to help this beautiful creature survive.

You guys are so precious. I would like to mention, however, that this is an old post and Barbaro left us over a year ago. Sadly, another thoroughbred, Eight Belles, was injured in this year's Kentucky Derby and was euthanized on the track immediately after the race. That's why this thread was revived.
