Update: When I got home Thor was in a different spot so he did get up and move. When we were leaving the house I had to assist him and left him on my sidewalk while I got the van. When he saw the van (which he loves) he struggled and got up by himself and walked to the van Smiler.

However he could only take a few assisted steps at the vets and then they had to carry him in on a stretcher. Frowner

The vet thinks the problem is with the spine as his left leg got weak there too but she does not know why. I asked her if this is a case of getting worse before better and she said she had not heard of it with this treatment but it could be a possibility. It is too early for the joint injections to show results. She said within two weeks we should see improvement there. I told her his left shoulder seemed better.

She did acupuncture on him and we go back Monday morning for suture removal and check up.
She told me to manually exercise his back legs and massage them to build the muscle up.

This morning Thor tried to get up and I helped him and he took a few steps but then gave out.
So there is a connection and he has feeling.

I ask that you continue to send and perhaps focus on his spine as well as right leg. I am hopeful the acupuncture will "kick in" and he will be better this afternoon.

I know you all helped yesterday and he had some improvement from the morning. Perhaps there is a blockage in his spine.

Can't thank you all enough. He is a fighter and keeps on trying. His appetite is still good too.

Thanks and blessings
Barb and Thor

Hi Barb,
Thor is always on my mind, rather lives there, so to speak.

I just made an orb, Flossie by name, who is coming to Thor. She should be in place now.

I suggested that she help with appetite and general all over good health.Lether know of Thor's leg, and your emotions, asked her to help, and to heal. She will be there until Thor has made up his mind as to his future path, will then act accordingly.Flossie has proved quite valuable to most animals, only time will tell.

I too am sending regularly.

Please let us know how Thor is doing...He is very important to all of the Fambly.

HealingLove,
zeneagle

Thank you everyone. I am hoping to find him better with all this help. He is alert and his appetite has been great for a week now. He is interested in everything. Loves to go for a ride. He is perfect and looks like a normal healthy dog except for the walking.

As the unofficial mascot for the fambly he thanks you as do I.

I understand him being on your mind Zen. It is amazing the people that care about and love this dog. There have been people that just have fallen in love with him just being around him for a little while. He is a very gentle spirit to others but with a strong fighting spirit within.

Love and blessings

Well Thor got up twice on his own. He walked about 25 ft. The rest of the evening I've had to help him up and support his back legs. I've been told he is very happy and has felt all the energy you have been sending.

New information from Mhari is that his tail bone and left leg bones are out of alignment. I have been doing QT on the area and some essential oils but he is not walking on his own We don't have an animal chiropractor here and my vet has a contact but no one close.

Please continue sending to lower spine, tail bones and back legs. I'll give him another session in the morning before I go to work.

Otherwise he has become an eating machine which makes my heart so happy.

Blessings to all
Barb and Thor

Thor moved on his own again about 10 ft during the night. Couldn't get up at 2 am or at 4am (my usual rising time). After I supported him to go out he ate his breakfast looking for more Smiler.

I did a session sandwiching his thighs. I sort of felt my pelvis rotating. I also put some essential oils on his paws, thighs and spine. When I came back from starting my car to warm it up, he was struggling to get up but got up and walked with me holding him by the bck of his winter coat. He walked that way to the car and back again into the house with some support. I promised him a ride tonight.

I will try and do distance sessions on him while at work while I see about a chiropractor. I am happy that I know he can still walk and I think if we can get the bones straightened out we will be on our way again. I am sure during the procedures last week something got out of alignment.

Those that are able please continue to send your beautiful healing energy as he seems to be soaking it in.

Blessings,
Barb and Thor

I was able to get an appointment with the human chiropractor that treats animals also. So I am leaving work early and back over the mountain in another direction.

I will update you later.

Hi Barb! Smiler

Thanks for the updates! Smiler

I am glad he is starting to walk a bit more! Smiler

I'd read you message and then had called my chiropractic friend, as she also does chiropractic on small animals at a verterinary practice. I'd just wondered if there were some "networks" of animal chiropractors that were well trained; yet, maybe not on a site, simply because they have no need for a site listing. (Many have plenty of business, etc., and do not use web site/directories in that case.)

She'd referred me to the listing at the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association site: avacadoctors.com. These are doctors certified in chiropractic. Some are primarily chiropractors, some are primarily DVMs.

This site lists 7 doctors certified in chiropractic for Oregon. (For your quick reference: 2 DCs in Portland; 1 DVM in Salem/Prineville; 1 DVM in Clackamas; 1 DC in Joh Day; 1 DVM in Creswell and 1 DVM in Island City.) Your vet has probably already checked this listing?

There are chiropractors and vets in training for animal chiropractic; however, they are not listed on the site. We don't know how to access anyone in that "category."

(I am not sure of your level of comfort in access anyone less than certified. I have used an animal chiropractor for animal, while the chiropractor --already highly credentialed in chiropractic and in sports medicine-- was finishing up credential for animal chiropractic certification. I was always very happy with the outcome, as was my animal. Yet, not all practitioners are have the same level of skill, and you are very well aware!)

I don't think this information has helped at all. I think you and your vet have your bases well-covered. Yet, I will leave it for you anyway.

I am so glad Thor seem to be doing better. I am also glad so many are offering to him and to you and yours! Big Grin

I'm still with you and yours, too, dear Barb! Wink

With Hopeful Healing Love,
Julie

Thor is very confusing! When I got home yesterday, he got up walked to the door, down the 2 front steps, stood and did his business like nothing had ever been wrong. He lay down and when I went to get the van he got up walked rapidly down the dirt driveway and waited. Got up himself 2 more times. Looked liked his old self - even better.

90 minutes later at the chiropractors back to just a few steps, can't get up and falling down. Same this morning except not getting up at all from mid spine down Have to support him again. The chiropractors did quite a bit of working on him with the activator. They were pleased with the way his nerves responded. They did say he could be a lot better. He might eveb be worse for a few days or he might just sleep a lot.

I know when I put my back out last month, I didn't even want to move for a few days so I am hoping this may be the case with Thor. We go Monday to get his sutures out and re-evaluation and then drive over to the chiropractors for another adjustment. So it will be a full day. Of course they are talking about possible rain/snow but I am counting on good weather.

I am still doing sessions on his spine, hips and sacrum. His appetite is still good and he looks great except for the walking.

Please keep sending to free whatever blockage is holding him down.

Barb and Thor

Peace and Blessings

As well as your sessions with him please experiment with doing the following EFT adaptation on him. Tap on Thor's head and then all the way down either side of his spine. At the head say "Even though my left leg is not working properly I am a great dog and everyone loves me!! 3x

Then as you tap down the spine say "right leg not working well - hard to walk - can't stand up for long - I'm so tired - left leg and spine not aligned properly - difficult to walk - etc As you do the head again say - I am a strong dog and my mom loves me so much

When my lab limped badly on her right back leg for no apparent reason I used a combination of QT (working directly on either side of her spine and then tapping on her as well and it cleared up very quickly. I know thors is a lot lot worse but it may clear some blockages. work a long time tapping up and down the spine focussing on his specific problems and also his emotions (what you think they would be) like frustration, embarrasment about not being able to move like he used to, exhaustion etc.

I would be interested to see what it effects it has on him.

Much love
Wendy

Thanks so much Wendy. I didn't get on the computer yesterday but I will try it when I get home after traveling to the vet and chiropractor. I know he will be tired after all that as I probably will be. I haven't done EFT on him for quite a long time now.

His weekend was mostly not good. He did a walk a couple of times but mostly I had to support him. I gave him his other pain medicine, which makes him nauseous. I don't think I am going to give him that one anymore. He is much happier eating Smiler and it doesn't seem to make a big difference.

Please keep us in mind as we travel to get the sutures out and for another adjustment. I will try and post later today. The weather should be good this morning - at least I was right about that since they had been predicitng snow and rain.

Talk to you all later. I will be keeping all your requests in mind but probably will not be able to post.

Barb and Thor

Peace and Blessings

Barb, read this out loud to Thor. Seems silly, but usually works.

Thor, I know you hurt. I also know you fake some of it to keep getting the attention.
You must not hurt your mama, Barb, like this, you are breaking her heart.

Suggest to your mama that you may have a displasia in that rear end of yours. Its possible, and could be easily missed.

We are all fambly in this, and Honker, the bird that owns me, says that poking your nose at the place that hurts will help mama see what is wrong. (it was Honker who pointed out the displasia to me.)

You are an older gentleman, which adds to the problem. Perhaps visiting an EFT Professional will allow some scope and help for You. Honker thinks that you may have worn out the colloidal pads between your hip and leg joint. Worth a try, anyway.

Thor, has mama tried some shark oil and colloidal oil capsules on you? Honker and I find that works very well with the big dray horses we work on. Perhaps it would help you.

Best of healing love from both of us.
Honker and zeneagle

Thanks Zen and Honker: I will read it to him. I know he "plays " me at times. Actually he has really good hips. There is arthritis but no dysplasia. I should ask him to stick his nose where it hurts. Of course he may be sticking it everywhere.

I have not tried shark oil or colloidal capsules. Is that colloidal silver or soe other colloidal?

It is very supportive to have the fambly here.
