I agree with Karen and your assessment of the dream. I too think it was a message actually meant to comfort you in that you are doing the "right thing."

I have a friend who does some dream interpretation which doesn't take into consideration a higher power speaking to us in our dreams, so it would be solely an interpretation of the events and symbols in the dream itself, but I will ask her opinion which could also shed some light on the dream.

How was the trip? How is Thor doing? I had you two on my mind Friday afternoon. I know you are really busy and quite exhausted (hence the vivid dreams) but do update us when you can Much love to you and hugs and a belly scratch for THor!

Both the chiropracter and the vet are concerned about Thor and his lack of improvement in his right hind leg. Add to the fact Thor was not a happy camper Friday (I think he was scared. Unfortunately Mhari is away and couldn't ell him what was happening. I tried but I don't have her gift) and did everything possible to be totally helpless. He looked like a disaster!

We are going to give Thor an IV of his stem cells and inject both hips, probably Thursday. I'll let you all know. If that doesn't help within a few weeks, then we are done.

Sorry I didn't post sooner but frankly I was quite depressed this weekend. Other than the walking Thor is great. Eating and drinking well and interested in everything and loving his car rides (Except the one Friday). He really is a character but frustrating. When we got to the chiropracter, he just lay in the back of the van. Wouldn't pick his head up or anything. Looked dead. The doctor was shocked I think and kept telling me he has had a good life.

As soon as he turned to walk back into his office, up pops Thor's head looking his normal. I called after the doctor who turned and had to laugh. I said he's playing you as he does me sometimes.

I will let you know when his injections are scheduled.

Just a quick note to ask you to keep Thor and me in your thoughts and energies tomorrow. Thor is going to get his hips injected. He really can't walk on that right hind leg. He can stand on it but can only take a step or two on it.
My Mom ("Grandma") is going with us. He should be having the procedure done around 2:30 Pacific time. So if you can keep us in mind from about 1:30 to 3:30 that would be great. Also send for clear highways. We've had snow fall the last two days - not a lot but more in the mountains.

The roads were clear and the weather sunny and nice .

Thor had his right hip and knee injected as well as an IV solution cells. An x-ray of his hips and spine were taken before the procedure. His hips looked great the vet said but she thinks his main problem is his lower spine. The last couple of disks are very arthritic and pressing on the spinal cord. There is not a procedure to directly inject the disk in animals, as they do with people, so she is hoping the IV solution will get there and help cushion the nerve. She wasn't going to inject his hip but I have had this consistent feeling that his right hip needs help so it was injected.

Thor came through the procedure well but has not reacted well to the pre-sedation. It has taken him 12 hours to become rousable and somewhat alert.

I will give an update later as I am at work now. Please send to clear out the sedation and focus on his very lower back and sacrum.

I have been sending to Thor religiously, and this morning I felt a BIG shift. HE remains on my list.

Ran home at lunch time and Thor is better - about 90% back to normal so I am anticipating him to be even better after work. He drank some water and sat on his haunches which I hadn't seen him do in a long time. Still wobbly but better.

Thor has had a rocky road this time. He finally was himself Saturday morning although wobbly. He has gotten up himself quite often when I call him to go out and he has walked on his own with encouragement.

He walked yesterday about the equivalent of a half a block and he was wiped out. I believe a lot of the problem is weakness from so much inactivity. He has to learn to know he can get up and walk again and be a dog again - not a patient. I am making him get up every hour or so - at least when I am home- just to move and strengthen the muscles. I have to tread carefully because if I overdo it, he won't move at all. He can be very stubborn.

His antibiotic is making him nauseous (what else is new?) so he is off his feed again yesterday. I have given him some slippery elm capsules so hopefully that will help.

I am encouraged that he is walking on his own (although very wobbly and in short spurts) again. He has gotten so used to me picking up his back end to get him started, he has to realize he can do it himself now. I have this overwhelming feeling he is like a patient that needs extensive rehab and to break habits of constantly lying down which he of course developed over all these months.

I have been doing QT on his head to release any emotional blockages as well as send "pictures" of him walking easily. As always thanks for being there for us.
