I am so sorry that your animals are feeling ill. When I just spoke to Thor is said that the cats were still sick. I worked on Thor's back and hip. Please let me know what you see from your end. Hang in there! We are with you.

Thank you Mhari and Mollinda and all others.

Didn't see any change in Thor, Mhari. He is eating well and doing well except for the back third that can't get up.

This morning he seems a little down but it could be because of Spats the cat not feeling well. He likes his cats. He ate ok so I think it is something else like the cats or maybe because he isn't getting all the attention .

Interestingly my vet said Urinary tract infections can be caused by stress and both these cats started getting them around when Thor started having problems getting up and walking back in March. This is the second time for the UTIs in them. Thor likes cats and cats like Thor.

Thor is at the vets as we speak. I think he has urinary tract infection again or still. I seem to be running a special on that this month. Anyway, he threw up twice last night and is drinking more and is weaker all over which seems to happen when he has the UTI. He has an appetite and looks for food but doesn't want to eat when given to him.

I asked the vet to do a culture this time to see what we might be fighting.

So I don't know if he got stressed with his cats being sick or jealous of the attention as he was one day or what.

I think I need to have my house purified of the bad vibes in it.

Anyway I know most of you have Thor on your perpetual list but send him an extra boost please.

How sweet of you Julie! Do take care of yourself. I don't know how you go through all your pain and tests.

I haven't heard from the vet yet but the new receptionist said he should be ready to go home soon. I will update you as I can when I find out what is going on.

Thor is home. His urine looked ok but the culture won't be back until next week. They gave him a shot for nausea. The only worrisome thing is one of his liver enzymes is high could be inflammation. could be cancer could be something else. His thyroid medicine is a high dose which could be some of these problems he is having also so we are going to cut it down and test him Saturday. I happened to check side effects of the thyroid medicine and some of what Thor has fall in there but he is complicated so we will see.

I sure found out you have to do your own research alot to get them to think of other possible causes.

I am going to run QT on the liver.

Thor's urine culture came back normal -so we are not fighting another infection! His liver enzyme was still high Saturday 527 but it had come down 25 points from Thursday so at least in the right direction.

We are cutting his thyroid and will stop it in another day and see how he does. His thyroid test was normal and the vet doesn't think he is hypothyroid. He thinks it came out low because he is older and was not feeling well at the time which can make a thyroid test abnormal. I will be happy when he is off meds and maybe his liver will be happy again.

He is on milk thistle caps and SAME tabs for his liver and he will be retested in another couple of weeks. The vet says his nausea can come from an unhappy liver also.

That is the latest for now. Thanks again.
