I have done the basic workshop video set and read the book. Am now working on SC video set. SC is tough. I've never seen anything like it. Even the vocabulary is different. It is eye opening and it is going to take a lot of work and trusting for me to "get it".
I have been working on my wife's back in the morning as she gets ready for her day. I've seen the entire spine seem to be one huge bruise a few hours after a session. Her hips will be bruised. it may help to mention here that she had rods put in her back by Shriner's many years ago. I have gotten discouraged, but I have to remember that Rome wasn't built in a day and this won't go away in a day either. I have been able to rid her of migraine headaches, however! I posted in healing requests back the 1st part of December under "help for my wife, please". We have a long way to go, but are trusting in a positive outcome. Pooh |

Hi, I am not up to SC but I am puzzeled that ANY healing procedure should cause bruising. Bruising is bidy reaction to violence. Maybe try going v. gently. Even sitting apart from her and doing Distant Healing.
What the Devil are "rods" more medical violence? |

Quantum Touch does not cause bruising! Are you doing simple gentle touch, or are you massaging or manipulating during sessions on your wife? Not making aspersions here but it begs the question when you describe bruising after a session.
Do the rods (Harrington?) need re-evaluation? Shriner's is traditionally a pediatric hospital so I am wondering if the rods are in need of evaluation now that she is adult. Hardware can shift, bend and break over time, and may need removal, replacement, or re-positioning. (I have seen both procedures done.) Something other than Quantum Touch is causing the bruising. Many things can cause bleeding into tissues, things mechanical like hardware, and derangement of blood-clotting factors, to name just two. Timely medical evaluation by licensed healthcare providers would be a very good option. This message has been edited. While I am glad your wife is improving, like others here, I am concerned about this bruising. I have never heard of QT doing any bruising at all, and I do not believe it is the cause. Ali has a good point, that maybe she needs reevaluation of the rods from her doctor or hosptial, cuz I have never ever heard of any type of energy healing doing even slight harm. Please get her checked out by her doctor.

Hi, I'm going to tell you what happened to me while I was taking Core Transformation.
During the exercices, saturday afternoon, a student noticed I HAD scoliosis, from 4th to 6th thoraxic vertebraes, he mentioned it, Alain said: so fix it. He did it, it took minutes, Alain examined my back and agreed with him, that there was no more scoliosis. Next day, I felt some disconfort on the spot, some pain, the pain rested for a few days. I did not examine my back, but maybe there was a bruise, maybe not. So my point is, there can be a bruise. When my back was fixed, there was a realignment, there was a change on the muscles, a muscle that was shortened could have been streched, so many things taking place, it's not impossible the outcome of a small bruise. For those who do not know, harrington rods are metal structures placed in the back to stiffen the spine of scoliosis patients. In addition the ribs are broken and realligned to prevent crushing of the lungs. At least, this was the case for my wife. We have seen MANY specialists and because of all the trauma Ginger went through during the first surgery(at age 15) she is very reluctant to allow any further surgery. Hence, the QT. We are doing everything we can in conjunction with qualified professional medical advice to avoid surgery. In addition, my technique is nothing more than is required for quantum touch, light hands. As for the bruising, the docs and nurses are baffled.

Hi,
I haven't experienced bruising as a result of QT but a renowned UK healer - now passed, Betty Shine, often had bruises appear on her clients even with distant healing. She regarded it as a sign of positive healing and the bruises cleared up very quickly. Quote from Betty Shine 'J's stomach was apparently all colours of the rainbow! Why this bruising occurs I don't know, but it has happened so often that I know it is always followed by a cure' More or less like something which had not resolved at the time of the injury or trauma and was lying dormant, after the healing, would come up to the surface and then disappear taking the problem with it. She also experienced loud bangs and cracks from bones, muscles and ligaments jumping up and down, stomach rumbles and other movements and sounds which are things I have experienced with QT. Well... If the rods have been artificially holding your wife's spine in place, the tissues around it have healed to accommodate the rods. If you're restoring her natural alignment, then the body has to move around rods in order to return to balance. This may be an explanation to her bruising. My advice would be to continue doing the work, and she may want to have someone examine her spine at some point in time to check on the rods.

Actually, all this new information makes sense. I was also thinking how, if the spine was held in position by nonmoving metal rods, that it could be what caused the bruising (thanks Kyle_S); just the way things sounded, or the way I read it, well it was not clear what was going on. Also, I found Wilsons scoliosis example to be a good point too. I never saw anyone bruise myself, and have not read it on the many reiki egroups I am on, so that was where I was coming from. Yet all this info makes sense. (Faune, thanks for sharing that story.) Anyway, I am just glad this is helping your wife Pooh, and for that matter, I can relate to being poked by doctors too much (something in my past) and dont blame her for not wanting to go that route anymore. Stick with the QT, it works.

I wonder how it would work to intend that the rods bend to accommodate healing? People bend spoons for fun. Rods shouldn't be any different -- except this would be for a useful purpose.... Just puttin' it out there....
