If Pete sent an sms message, then you'd know we charged (or pretended to). If we keep the times consistent, then I think up to 0-4 hours interval between possible charging and tasting will produce clear results (I suspect it already has).

Pete, let's you and I mark the time of charging too. We may not always be in synch, but I don't think it will really matter as long as we charge within the time window.

About our time difference: you and Pete are 2 hrs ahead of me, but you are at GMT +3 and I am at GMT+1 because of daylight savings time (DST)

I just checked on a few world time zones web sites to confirm: GMT never changes, but DST is in effect, so all countries that observe daylight savings time (DST) shift one hour forward in spring/summer. So, although I'm normally at GMT, in spring/summer, I'm GMT+1 and your locations (Helsinki and Kuopio) are GMT+3.

If you thought you were at GMT+2 and I was at GMT, let's just make the time adjustment on paper, so we keep the times we intended: 1800-1930 my time; 2000-2130 your time.

Yep, I did not account for DST in my earlier postings.

So, just to confirm once more; safe to taste from 2130(@GMT+3) onwards?

I received a suggestion to move this thread out of the Healing Stories section (and I agree, currently this is more of a General Discussion type of thing) but did not easily find the way to do it. Somebody help me out here?

Meanwhile, the tastings continue. Alfred & Pete, after some more trials, I suggest we make the rhythm so that on the next day, you'll "reveal" to me whether it was charged or not, to help possible learning effects take place? But for now, lets continue as is.

We've now done 6, if my calculations are correct. Would you reveal the dates you charged? If even one is incorrect, we'll not yet achieve statistical significance...

But we could then continue to get more data with the 1-day feedback arrangement (to get advantage of possible learning effects, i.e., I'll learn faster what charged / non-charged tastes like - if there's a difference).

but I have to admit I goofed a couple dates.
These are the ones Pete and I charged on:
12 and 13 May,

Then we were going to also charge on
16, 18, 22, and 23 May

Except I got pulled away on the 16th until it was passed the time, and totally blanked the 18th (reminded myself 5 minutes before charging window, then the phone rang, & learned my Dad was in hospital)

Then when I saw your email, I misunderstood you and thought the trials were over, so didn't charge on the 22nd or 23rd.

Pete had all the dates too, so he may have done a better job on those other two dates (the 16th and 18th)

So, what are your results?
