A mother brought her eleven year-old child to us for ear pain. She had been seen three times weekly by a chiropractor for one leg being longer than the other. When we put her on the table, my eyebrows went up. Her face was completely unbalanced in appearance. My partner, Tim Hurst, and I called the mother to look at her daughter from our angle, and was shocked. One side of her face was completely different than the other; one shoulder was higher and rotated forward; her hips were out of alignment; and her pelvis was torqued forward on one side. No wonder she had ear pain and was walking lopsided. After balancing her hips, her legs were of the same length. At that point, we walked on water in the mother's eyes. We accomplished in 5 minutes what had not been done in the previous 2 months by the chiropractor. We aligned her occiput, and worked on her skeletal structure of her skull. As her mother stared in amazement, her face became symmetrical. The ear pain was a little trickier. The angle of the eustachian tube is affected by the structure of several bones. Once the bones had 'reset', the child's ear pain subsided. Even though the child returned for two subsequent treatments, the leg length remained even, and the ear pain did not return.
