Hey there, Fambly!

I went to conference this summer, and discussed a case of laminitis in a local show horse on one of the video documentaries that Moti & her team put together. He had been cleared for riding by the time the video was shot there in Tahoe, but I wanted to elaborate on that for everyone...
"Timbo" (Sir Thomas Bobbert III) is an AQHA registered, paint quarter horse. He's only 4 years old, and had come down with a severe case of laminitis (hoof/coffin bone instability) last winter/early spring. If you watched the video about this on YouTube, you know the story, but I wanted to fill you in on his progress!
He was able to be shown again this past fall. He won two blue ribbons at pageant, won 7 out of 15 barrel races (which earned him honorable mention on his registry paperwork), and is much less stressed than ever before, previous to the condition setting in and everything! The vet has contacted me again recently, wanting more information about QT, energy work in general...so I sent him what literature I had, along with a letter telling him how to join the community, get the book, and the Intro CD I have some copies of. He seems very interested in learning, as he saw first hand what the horse would do when I would work with him (he came out for our last session to observe). He was blown away, needless to say!
Word has gotten around in my sleepy little town amongst the horse people...I've gotten three calls so far just this past couple of weeks over things like nervousness, inability to carry foals to full term, and another laminitis case.
I had to share this success story with you all!

Love & Hugs~

Hey Ashley,
What a marvelous thing for the horses!
I am proud of you, and hope many more come to you.
Did you perchance get a copy of before and after? May be the vet would let you have some mobile x-rays, then some from the paegents and and and....GOOD WORK!

Hi Ashley! Smiler

Congratulations! Big Grin

I am not familiar with this specific horse; yet, I am familiar with the condition. Frowner

This is wonderful for "Timbo!" Big Grin
This is great for you, as a practitioner! Big Grin
This may help so many other horses! Big Grin
This is great "press" for Quantum Touch! Big Grin

For anyone not familiar with "laminitis," here is a link to an explanation, a diagram and a digital radiograph:

This is wonderful news! Big Grin Thanks so much for sharing this with us! Big Grin

Ashley, as I understand this, you had worked with the horse onsite. ("Hands on.") Did you offer to "Timbo" from a distance as well? I am curious as to your experience/opinion of the efficacy of distance Q-T with horses in general?

With Love and Deep Gratitude,
Julie

Hi Ashley,
Great work !! I have done a lot of QT on horses, both hands on and distance. Hands on is stronger in some ways, but distance is very helpful in many cases. My 17 h. Thoroughbred gelding broke a bone in his tibia and tore loose a ligament attaching there. He was put in a cast and on stall rest. Distance QT helped him to stay calm at night during the stall rest, he needed no drugs or valerian after day 2 through the next 6 months. Even when he got "cast" (stuck) down in the stall he did not struggle, just waited for us to come and rescue him. He could hand walk during some of that time, but it was winter, often very icy in front of the barn, and when not, he was trying to eat all the grass he could find, so was not still enough for hands on, especially to hind legs....distance was great !! He stayed so well behaved, all the vets were impressed, and he recovered fully, and faster than expected, passing all his hock flexion tests and ultra-sound, and healing the sores from the cast with barely any scarring. He went on to compete dressage and hunters with a new owner and has had no problems.
I also had a colt born with VERY cooked both front legs, and I did QT on him, mostly distance, as he was so curious and wiggly. He is a yearling now and has only a very very slight barely noticible turn out in one front hoof. The farrier was suprised it did so well, he is only trimmed on the regular schedule now. It is, however harder than people think to stay awake at night long enough to send to all who need it, people or horses, after taking care of a farm and a massage practice and teaching also. I tried putting all the 'needy" on scraps of paper in a special box and running energy into the box, but it did not have good results compared to individual attention. I think the best deal is to teach all horse and pet owners how to do their own animals, selves and family, ask for help when situations are overwhelming, as can sometimes happen.
great work on the laminitis and continuing best wishes to Timbo...
Love and Light,
Jennifer

Good morning all,

I am so glad that you posted about the horse Ashley. I have been doing hands on for a 6 mo. colt that was kicked by his mother when he was 3 mo. old. he was kicked on the left rear and now has a a lot of problems on the left side. I have gotten his spine straight now except for one spot. Have been working on him once a week for a month now. He excepts the energy very well most of the time, but he lets me know when I get to a spot that hurts him. He is a trotter, and I hope he will keep taking the energy and get healed. Do you have any pointers for me? I am going to dig in my grandkids toy box and get a horse out to do some distance work on him.

Any advice will be a big help.

Only 30 more hours to being certified.

With love and light
Rita

Hello, all! Thank you, all of you, for the wonderful energies and smiles and joy expressed in your replies! Smiler

Lynn, I wasn't able to obtain any copies of x-rays or their actual charted information for Timbo. I did ask, but they said they needed to keep those for their records (since he was mainly in their care and I wasn't employed by them or the owners). I will make sure with the next ones I work with I'll get photos if there's any structural abnormality so I can document the cases as best as possible. Wink

Jelena, I so wish this were the case! However, without my certificate of practitionership, all I can do is free sessions, educate clients (in this case, vets and owners) about the modality, promote the work and community, and put that energy out there for the greater good for all. Hopefully soon, I'll get my certificate, and I'll be able to make a decent income from this work...it's what I love! Big Grin

Julie, I did offer from a distance, but did not talk to the owners or vets about this; it's still a very new concept for them all, and I didn't want to freak anyone out and lose the chance to assist this beautiful creature. I did a total of five distant sessions, just holding that mental picture of him in my mind, and saw the energy flowing to him, encompassing him in a beautiful bubble of pinks, whites, golds, greens, and mother of pearl. I only offered the five distance sessions on him as I would (out of nowhere) have him come to mind...I knew it was a way of letting me know he needed something. I could sense and perceive the energy much more strongly in the distant sessions, but I believe either offering is highly effective. It just all depends upon the situation and the animal's disposition, as Jennifer's post above supports. Just trust your intuitive guidance about the situation, and trust what you observe of the situation and the animal...and go with that. Smiler

Jennifer, thank you so much for your stories and input! They are great examples of how different situations and different animals require different approaches with the work. I do encourage you to think of the "work" as more of "playtime." I've also found that setting the intention before I go to bed at night to send distantly to clients works well, too...I just say to myself (and Source/Universe/Divine Creator) "I offer my conduit of energy to [said persons/animals] throughout the night, for their highest good and healing, and I shall awaken refreshed and revitalized in the morning for conscious sending." I've found it works incredibly well! Play around with it...sounds like you're a busy, busy gal with a lot of responsibility, so this approach might work very well for you! Smiler

Rita, first I want to say welcome to the community and the "Fambly!" You'll find a lot of great pointers, assistance, and experience here that will help you on your own QT journey. Wow! That much improvement in just 4-5 sessions is AWESOME! I understand your concerns as well. I also encourage you to play with the intention to send overnight as you sleep, especially if you're only able to visit him once a week for hands-on sessions, and want to do more for the little guy. Finding the toy horse is a great idea, also try to hold the mental picture of him in your mind while you fall asleep or send distantly. It works just as well in case you can't find a toy horse in that toybox! Have you also thought about putting up a request in the requests forum? Having others sending at different times in a pretty even turn (that's how it always works out, funny!) will greatly improve his chances of healing what is left to take care of, much quicker. Blessings, and the best to you on your new path with QT, and working towards that practitioner certification! Big Grin

Love and Light to all of you! Smiler
