Well as you might have noticed I've been on this board a lot this weekend. I've posted a few times in the past with different issues.

Anyway I got to chatting with Jelena in the chat room today and it was quite an experience. At first we were just chatting, and then she started asking the hard questions, I thought I was in with Barbara Walters for a few minutes ehehhe. They were great questions and really got me thinking.

Well about 2 weeks ago I was getting ready for bed and doing my stretches, I do them every night in bed to relax, and to keep away the sore back. So that night I was restless and hung my head of f the bed to stretch it and it felt so good, till i felt a snap!!!! Shooting pain in my neck, I could hardly move or get up, I managed to wiggle my way to my pillow and had a hard time finding relief. so I sat up and did some more stretching and the pain went from my neck into my shoulder, which was better. The next morning I couldn't even put my clip in my hair and could hardly move. I've had pain in it ever since.(Reminded me or Pieters post a bit)

Well after our chat this morning Jelena asked if she could do a session. I've read the book, and watched the videos and practiced myself, but never have I had an actual QT session. I was floored when I felt the energy hit my chest, it was so strong, I felt it expand and go up through my neck. Then she had me ground my feet, and I felt the energy going up my leg. After a couple of minutes, I noticed the pain in my shoulder was gone, and I'm happy to say this evening, it's still gone. thank you so much, i really needed to see the power of QT in action, to help me be motivated to do something more with it. I told hubby and he's not sure how to take it hahahahah, he'll learn.

Thanks again everyone for your support and welcoming a newbie. I've enjoyed seeing everyone in chat, although it's hard to follow when everyone else knows each other so well. It's a very warm community and I'm honored to be here.

thanks for everything. I must say the pain is still gone, but there is a bit of soreness in the area, more like a bruise, or the residue of the pain. I'm worried about hurting it again so I've tried to be more careful at work, which isn't always easy.

Hi Venice,
quote:

When we suffer from injure - both physically and psychologically – all our posture changes accordingly to protect injured area from further stress. But if that injure last long enough – our «protective» posture become habitual and we continue to protect that area even when no more protection is necessary.

Don't worry. Worrying cause stress – stress produce the tension in muscles, affects circulation and influence your body at many levels. Tension also means less flexibility to respond to whatever is actually happening in now, then when in relaxed state, - which in turn, again, make you more vulnerable.

I’m suggesting you that you engage yourself more in the things that lay out of your daily routine, things that makes you happy, so to help yourself even more in your healing process.

With Love,
Jelena

Hai Venice

Reading your emails and seeing your worry about hurting 'it' again I wondered if you might try some EFT on that issue? I know that QT is brilliant in taking the pain away, but I had the same sort of thing with a colleague, took her severe back ache away with QT and then the next day when I asked how she was she said something similar to you, how she was afraid of hurting it again or that it was going to return.. I did some quick rounds of EFT with her and whilst sending energy to the EFT tapping points said things like '' Eventhough I'm afraid the pain will return, and eventhough I don't believe the pain can be gone foregood etc. And she was fine within a couple of minutes. No worries anymore about doing any damage or getting the pain back. With that she relaxed her stance, and looked far 'easier' within herself. As Jelena says stress just causes more problems and you want to avoid that...

Just my thoughts....
Good to hear you had that amazing experience though!!

Thanks everyone.

Just a quick update. It's been over a week and still no pain, even after working with my shoulder. I'm so happy and thanks Herma your right I have nothing to fear, but fear itself. amazing how our emotions can control us.

As of now I'm no longer afraid of hurting my shoulder at work, because I'm healed and I know it wasn't caused by that.
