I've renamed this as per requested by another member!

Its been one week since I read the QT book and have been using the techniques mostly for self-healing. Thought I would share some notes I made to self. Any comments/feedback would be appreciated. First, continue running the energy till the job is done! I was interrupted while doing a session on my TMJ, and didnt get a chance to finish it that evening. The next day, I had the worst migraine, with numbing in my left cheek. I ran energy in the TMJ, cranium & neck, and got rid of the headache & numbness. The second thing I noticed is that hand placement does affect the energy output. I tried this with my palms & with the tripod---if my hands touch at all, it seems to make a closed circuit and it doesnt affect the tissue as much. Third, energy tends to run down my body easier than up, so when doing the full body sweeps, I actually draw in energy through the crown & down my body & arms into the hands. It works better for me. And lastly, it really doesnt matter if the person youre using it on believes or not as long as you hold your intent. I couldnt resist trying QT on a client who herniated a disc in the spring. She is definitely a non-believer in that way-out stuff (as she calls it!). She couldnt bend forward without pain at the L4 L5 region, and there was constant low-grade pain in the area. I placed a hand on her spine and one on her abdomen and ran the energy. We both felt her muscles melting in her low back. Needless to say, when she got off the table, she was pain-free & was able to bend forward without the sharp pain! I explained what I did, and her response was quite comical: she refused to believe in energy healing and was grasping for a logical explanation about what I did! This is great stuff! Im continuing to play & look forward to doing a workshop sometime in the near future! I hope everyone else is having as much fun with this as I am!

Joyce

Interesting observations. Healing yourself is harder than healing others so you deserve congratulations. In vipassana meditation they run the energy from crown down then back up. The bottom line is: what works, works.

that's interesting, thanks for sharing. I'm reading the book too and I find the downside is I can get stuck with these sort of questions - does it have to be exactly this way (running energy from the bottom up for instance) and that stops me by creating doubt! I think we all need to experiment and follow our instincts as far as seeing if it works or not - I'm interested in working mostly with emotional stuff, but the physical is obviously important and the most impressive - although as you say, there are always people who won't believe it even if they've experienced it themselves! Like me, too, I've done healings using my own healing symbol (see my website http://www.healingsymbols.co.uk) and couldn't really believe it, either!

Do keep sharing your experiences and findings, I'm a week or so behind you! Best wishes!
Jane

Hi All,
I've got a client coming in 35 minutes with a herniated disc, so I did a quick search and found your postings from 2004.
GREAT WORK JOYCE.
Surely there must be some more healings related to herniated discs by now, 2008. Let's see if there are. Thanks in advance for taking the time to share your experiences.
I know of no limit to Quantum Touch,

Hi All,
I'm thinking of starting a new post labeled herniated disc so it's clear that I'm asking for more info on this. I've searched all forums and haven't found much.
Any ideas?

Marcy, my daughter worked on her neighbour shortly after she started QT. She is coming up tomorrow and I'll get her to post about the experience. It was miraculous!

Kind regards, Kerry

Marcy, this is from my daughter Karen -

My neighbour Amanda called me one afternoon and was obviously very distressed. She had been sitting on the floor with her baby and while moving to get up experienced intense lower back pain.
Unable to put her baby down (who was now asleep in her arms) she couldn’t move from a kneeling position either.

Scooping up my son, I raced over to put her baby to bed. Amanda was reluctant to move from a kneeling position on the floor and her husband arrived to take her to the doctor. An MRI that afternoon showed a herniated disc.

The doctor’s advice was to start physio in about six weeks and in the meantime to “go home and rest”.
Impossible to do with two small children!

Not having spoken to Amanda about QT before, I suggested I could try a healing technique that might give her some relief. We had our first QT session that evening. I started with Amanda standing, holding the back of a chair for support. This was the most comfortable position for her. After checking her occiput and hips I then proceeded to tripod either side of each vertebrae and work down her spine.

Amanda was feeling quite sleepy after this; so then I worked on her lumbar region while she was lying on her side. In about a minute she was asleep. This session was 50 minutes.

Amanda was amazed at her range of movement without pain the next day and I did about 20 minutes QT on her lower back that evening and 10 minutes the next night. This last session felt like really hard work. I was yawning my head off and didn’t feel like I was achieving anything. After about two minutes Amanda felt an intense “electric shock” and went to sleep.

First thing the next morning Amanda phoned, sounding thrilled! For the first time in 14 years she had no back pain at all. This was about a year ago and there has been no recurrence. Another great result for QT!

Thanks Kerry...that is awesome. I wish we could rename this post "herniated disc". I really think there might be more people who have had success but haven't posted it yet.

I think you can rename the post. Go to your original post and click the pencil in the lower right hand corner. A box will open up and you can edit your post. Click the post button again and there you go.

Correction: Only the original poster is able to rename the post. I mistakenly presumed it was you, Marcy, before I checked.
