I just wanted to share an experience that I had last week. As I was cooking dinner, I grabbed a lid from a pot I was using, with my bare hand, thinking it wouldn't be as hot as it was. I ended up with a burn running from the tip of my index finger to the pad of my thumb...OUCH! And to boot, it was my right hand, as I am right-handed. I ran it under cold water, but still had to continue dinner as it wasn't done yet. So, there I was cooking with my left hand and holding the other one up above my shoulder as it was throbbing so badly. I finally couldn't take the pain anymore, and decided do run some energy to that hand, as that always helps take the sting out of my burns. After only a couple of minutes, the pain was bearable, and I could move my fingers with very little pain, as long as I didn't touch anything with them. I did notice, however, that a blister had started to form on my index finger.

After we finished dinner, and got the kitchen all cleaned up, I felt the need to pop into the evening chat session. As I popped in, a healing session was just being started for Sonja's husband, Vince. I joined in, with everyone else, as we went thru the session. At the end I realized something...my fingers didn't hurt anymore, and there was no redness running from the tip of my finger to my thumb. In fact, the only area that was red was the pad of my index finger, and the pad of my thumb. Also, the blister was beginning to fade.

The next morning, things looked even better, and the pain was still gone! There were only areas of darker pink skin, again on my index finger and thumb...and the blister, nowhere in sight.

In 2 days, both finger and thumb were back to normal. I have no doubt that the healing session in chat for someone else, helped me to continue to heal...it put the finishing touches on what started earlier in the night. This stuff never ceases to amaze me! Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures...again.

I burned my finger (heard it sizzle!) and stubbed/cut it at the same time on my grill a couple of days ago! I was too busy to stop, getting food onto the table, but managed a couple of QT breaths while holding it, maybe 4 max. The pain and redness died down, and the cut had closed next time I looked. There was a slight soreness but nothing that troubled me so I didn't do any more QT. The skin had already gone white and I think it would have blistered without that little bit of QT. Pretty useful!
