My daughter's thoroughbred mare had a funny turn two days ago when I was leading her back to the stable. She used my right foot as a springboard to gallop off. I was in agony- in fact I thought she had broken my foot and at the very least thought there would be extreme bruising. Anyway I got my wife to run energy into my foot and this soothed the pain. The following day it was though nothing had happened - my foot was back to normal and amazingly there was no bruising at all!

The same sort of injury happened to a friend of mine. I ran energy, took the pain away and the next day there was no sign that a heavy male horse was standing on her foot.

Hello Fambly,
Why hasn't anyone addressed the REASON for the two different horses acting in a manner that hurt a human?
Horses know Bloody well when they have gone against the rules by hurting a human either accidently or intentionally. Normally, that is a request, though painful ,that the horse needs something it is not getting. Womb the entire horse and ask. You will get the answer very quickly, and the answer will probably be something quite mundane, BUT needed by the horse. Those "accidents" WEREN'T!
If you are owned by a very sensitive horse, you should return the favor before it becomes a battle, war, or escalates even further. ASK!
Its only polite.
After asking, and remedying the situation, the horse should once again be consulted as to the solution? Was it what the horse wanted?
If one gets a differing answer, only slightly differing, the horse is simply, normally, having a wonderful sulk.
If you have correctly asked, been answered, and dismissed, all is well and life continues.
If all of the above fail, RUN to the phone for your vet.
One other reason in the very southern-most states - this is loco-weed season, be careful of this weed, it is very toxic and not to be ignored. Call the vet.
If none of the above work, Call the psychiatrist, and get yourself a nice, short term commitment, it is so soothing...
