I was sprinting across the lawn when a metal sprinkler head, hidden by the tall grass, grabbed me and sent me sprawling flat on the adjacent concrete sidewalk.
Stunned and hurting on all points of impact (both knees, both elbows and forearms and my head) I told Rick, "We're going home."
Once in the car, all I could think of was the 40 minute ride back and my right knee screaming at me . . .at least an 8.
"I can't wait till we get home and you can run energy on me."
"Run it on yourself" he said.
I don't know why I don't remember to do that.
I started running energy and within a few minutes the pain was at a bearable 4.
Rick fininshed the job when we got home and the next day, my body didn't even know it happened.
