To many of us, myself included, the idea of a root canal conjures up feelings of anguish and pain. Just the shrilling and the burning smell of the drill is enough to stand your hairs on end. But, like a sacrificial lamb, we sit there and edgily wait while the sadistic dentist slowly performs the semi-eternal ritual on us. I had the “pleasure” of an encounter of this kind at the dental lab this past Monday.

Sweeping and breathing has become a habit of mine after watching the QT Basic Workshop video. When I find myself at a place without something interesting to read, I usually start practicing sweeping and breathing. In a way, I am always charged up.
While waiting for the dentist to finished his work with the patient before me, I started my sweeping and breathing practice. The tingling sensation in my hands is my clue to energy flow. As the doctor came into the room my hands were already sensing the increasing energy. He did the usual conversation expecting my participation in a verbal exchange, knowing darn well that my mouth was halfway full with dental paraphernalia.

In my pre QT experience, no matter how much numbing gel the dentist put in there, I always felt the pinch of the needle and the discharging of the Morpheus’ liquid. The sensation never failed to induce a few tears that would flow down the cheek from the eye of the invaded side. After the masochistic event you had to contend with the numbness of the lip and trying to carry on a conversation. Not to mention the effort it took to graciously spit out the uncontrollable output of saliva, followed by the awakening of the dormant pain once the effect of the anesthesia wore out.

I am happy to report that none of the uncomfortable feelings were experienced during my last “rootie”. No tears, no pain whatsoever, no discomfort of any kind. It was so painless that I did not even notice that fact. Yesterday, when a friend started questioning me about the procedure and the after effect I realized what just had happened; otherwise, the fact would have gone unnoticed. Cool, isn’t it?

No, I will not be the one to find out if the root canal could be performed with just QT and no anesthesia!

JuanRo: I went in for my first root canal Tuesday, but when they opened up my tooth, I was sent over to a dental surgeon for extraction (also my first). It never occured to me to try QT. However, I did use EFT before and after and was calm during the entire procedure even though they used a local anesthetic. In fact, it was easy!

Dear Juan,
Way cool.
A few weeks ago Rick had an appointment with a gentleman who had just had a "biggie" extracted (I'm assuming a molar) and altho the session was for other concerns, Rick ran energy on the tooth area.
About 4 days later, the man noticed the dental packing material and pain relievers in his medicine chest and realized he had never needed them! No pain, as he said, "not a twinge". And it healed quickly.
Ya gotta just love it.
Hugs,
Christina

hello JuanRo,
yes it is extremely cool!
I cracked a tooth a few days ago and first received some wonderful QT energy from the lovely ones in the healing room, which really helped. I then went the next day to get it filled, and, as is my new habit, sat in the waiting room running energy. Once I was in the chair, my usually lovely dentist suddenly started using a drill to 'trim' the filling without anaesthetic, which ordinarily would have had me jump out of the chair in shock, and in tears for the rest of the week, subsequently avoiding the dentist for another five years as was my old habit! (I normally wouldn't let a dentist within two feet of my mouth with a drill without first having had half a gallon of novocaine!)
This time however, I just sat there running energy and thinking 'oh my goodness, she's drilling, I haven't had an injection... ok, well I'll shout if I feel it.... ',(anyone who knows me will know how much of a sea-change this is - especially any previous dentists!)
It wasn't a problem. Amazing!
Root canal work however.... I will also leave for someone else to test! Smiler
love!
Nx

I posted my "first hand validation" of the effectiveness of QT last week and you mentioned that more would follow. Well, here is the proof.

Thanks
Juan
