HI!!! What kind of symptoms? I've been going through it for the past few years... just had a hysterectomy in March so it's mostly over... everybody seems to go through different stuff so it may help if I can get an idea. If it is private, send me a PM. I'm sure that lots of us could learn on this subject - we are all headed there or have been there - at least the females. However, I wouldn't be surprised if there are contributions from the guys. My husband could write a book!

Hi Jana,
Thanks for replying.Whenever i'm extremely tired
with work,my heads gets heavy and groggy. If i do chakra meditation i feel good and healthy. But it does not always help.I will be happy if i'm always feeling healthy - I guess it could also be caused by too much of responsibility at work and home.Hope someone can provide me with good information. Thanks again.
Love and Blessings.

WOW - I remember that - brain fog! In the beginning, nothing seemed to help - and I didn't realize it was menopause! I was in a pretty high stress profession at the time. It was then that I endeded up going to a hypnotherapist that also did energy work. So you have the first step out of the way - energy work! I remember we did a lot of work on the solar plexus chakra. I had to turn off the TV - I couldn't handle the input. I switched to healing music, especially when driving on the freeway (but not meditation music - LOL.) I learned to surround myself with quiet whenever I could - noise had me jangled! The most important thing was focusing energy on the endocrine system - all those little glands that create hormones. My intent was to ease the transition, not correct it, as I was ready to end that part of my life. Take time for yourself. I know that's what everyone says, but it's true. The movements and peace of yoga - even only once a week, helped a lot. My favorite thing, and most helpful for me, was on Saturday mornings I would put on Steven Halpern's Chakra Suite CD and sit in the bathtub and just zone out into a meditative state. As I got better, I started using the time for self healing, then distance healing for others. (I still do this) I couldn't quite manage more than once a week, though. Too busy! A couple of suggestions... Black Cohosh for hot flashes if you get them and ask your Dr. to check your Thyroid - the thyroid seems to play into the whole menopause thing - focus extra healing on your thyroid. Haha - we should start a menopause forum!

I hope this helps.

Talha,
Always remember your body hears every thought and every word you say and minds you! Think positive thoughts and says good things. My menopause went well, I meditated twice a day, took added vitamin E for hot flashes (1200 mg). Vortex the energy around you when you meditate! You will float right through it!

If you find it is thyroid you might want to consider dietary changes that would eliminate thyroid inhibiting foods and include as much of the thyroid enhancing foods as possible. I managed to completely reverse the fog, tiredness and irritability that sluggish thyroid causes just by a change in diet. Just do a search on the internet for hypothyroid and natural remedies. I also take black cohosh and have not had a single hot flash so far and I've been moving into menopause for about 2.5 years now. Oh, yes, I meditate daily, also. I know this helps with all aspects of my life, as it clears all the daily stress I pick up.

Hi All,

Menopause does not have to be problematic, but as we know it is a time of hormonal changes that can cause problems - oestrogen type changes from being produced by the ovaries when you are having periods to being produced by the adrenal glands in menopause. The oestrogen produced by the adrenal glands is not as potent as that produced by the ovaries.

As well as Black Cohosh, Siberian Ginseng is a good adrenal support and also Wild Yam can be very helpful with hot flushes too and helping to balance hormones generally. Dietary changes are helpful as well.

Herbal medicine can be very helpful at this time and it is good to consult a qualified medical herbalist who can give you a mixture of herbs that work synergistically. They also know about drug interactions and herbs.

Problems with menopause can also be caused by a uterus that is out of position and this can be helped with the Arvigo techniques of Maya Abdominal Massage. Go and look at the website for more information www.arvigomassage.com

I am not just saying this. I have had treatment and it is wonderful - I felt like a new woman afterwards. If you don't mind having your belly massaged, it is great. My practitioner was very gentle and massaged my lower belly for uterine position and then my upper belly and this really helped my digestion, plus the sore spots in my diaphragm. You get a back massage too, that helps with pelvic re-alignment. I also took the Female Tonic herbs from Belize and these re-balanced my hormones within a couple of weeks.

All this combined with QT and we should be onto a winner?!!

I have to second (or third or fourth) the black cohosh...it was my salvation (pre-QT).
As long as I took it, no problems with hot flashes or night sweats.

Northern Star, first of all, WELCOME! I would suggest that you move your post from healing stories to healing requests so more people will see- you will get more of a response on your distance healing request that way. There are some really good suplements for low thyroid available. Also, I can recommend a book "the thyroid solution" by Ridha Arem, MD.

I have seen wonderful things happen in menopause with my clients when they switch to a raw or mostly raw, all organic, vegan diet and also eliminate refined sugar completely. This prevents osteoporosis and greatly cuts down on the hot flashes and mood swings.
Also, I would make sure there are no murcury -amalgam "silver" fillings in your teeth. these can be replaced with a much safer material (naturally several precautions are in order) the Foundation for Toxic-Free Dentistry has information on this and can refer you to a good dentist to do the replacement.
A lot of the symptoms (especially hot flashes) seem to be triggered by stress, so I recommend lots of relaxation and meditation; regular QT sessions seem to greatly enhance this, and don't try to do as much during menopause as you did in your prime, your body is using up lots of energy trying to stabilize so avoid wearing yourself out and do a lot of calm restful activities. Flax oil, wheat germ oil, evening primrose oil, olive oil and other healthy unsaturated plant fats are very helpful.
Making sure the bowel and liver are clean with a series of flushes and cleanses can be the most powerful thing you do. All the other things you do can be negated if pooisons are constantly seeping into your bloodstream from buildups in the bowel and liver. Hope this is helpful.
Hope this is helpful.
