Has anyone had any experience using QT for a degenerative spinal disc condition? If so, what was your course of action and how long did the treatments take (individually and collectively)? I realize that each patient and condition is individual but thought this would give me some indication of how I might approach this situation.

Thanks
Ginger

Hi,
I too have degenerating disks in my neck. I've had chiropractic adjustments for months, and my neck keeps falling out anyway. My muscles in my head, neck, jaw, and shoulders are sooooo tight which may be pulling the neck muscles out all of the time. If anyone has used quantum-touch to heal degenerating, slipping disks in the neck, similar to Ginger's question, I'd like to know. Your help will be greatly appreciated!!!!

The Core transformation class helps a great many people with "the neck going out of place" type problems. I have had a number of people email me and say that "their neck or their low back for that matter" stay in place much better and if they do slip they can release the tension and pain and help it to go back in much more easily. The rebuilding of the dics/vertebra respond well also. Whether you are using the basic work or the advanced styles, it is more a question of the individuals reponse rather than the technique. Remember the client is the healer.

Hi,
Thanks for the response. I've been told that spinal
disks do not regenerate/rebuild. Are you saying that
quantum touch does rebuild disks/vertebrate?? That would be
wonderful. A neurosurgeon wants to put a metal rod in my neck and remove the disks and replace them with bones
from another source. Could I really avoid this type of surgery with quantum touch????? Thanks

It is certainly possible and I've had some feedback that people have had positive results. Understand that each person is an "individual result". In other words you need to give it a try and see what happens for you personally. Work on it for a while and see what response you get. Conventional medicine says many things are impossible. Thank goodness that this is only a point of view.

I worked on a woman with this condition in her neck. After just a few minutes she said "Look I can turn my head and it doesn't hurt". I have not had a chance to follow up with her.

Prefacing with something that Richard Gordon has said...
" Entering the world of healing, you begin to see that you can help even more by sensing deficiencies in nutrition, etc."

discs are primarily water and can be rehydrated. u might want to check out a book entitled, 'Your Body's Many Cries For Water" by Dr. Batmanghelidj, M.D.

to cut to the chase, his recipe for rehydrating the discs is ingesting half your weight in ounces of water per day and for every quart of water that is equivalent to you add 1/4 tsp of sea salt.

In the morning, measure out your quota of sea salt for the day and drink two glasses of water every couple of hours...take a pinch of salt before or after drinking the water and after you have had your alotted amount, add the rest to your food. (He has something very interesting to say about a no salt diet, high blood pressure, etc.)

Also...exercises for strengthening the muscles seems to be prudent.

The doctor also has a 25 minute video tape entitled "How to Deal With Back Pain' which is quite good and goes thru exercises and the scientific explanation for this...perhaps a better buy.

I personally had been previously diagnosed with degerative and herniated discs and found a person who, himself had recovered from herniated discs and now has his own Back and Neck Care Center and designs exercise programs for people with these kinds of problems. I highly reccomend the exercise aspect in addition to whatever else u are trying....

High doses of Magnesium (chelate to avoid diarrhea) to prevent spasming would also be very helpful.

hope this helps.

Jessica

Alain is correct in saying that disks are made primarily of water. Dehydration will contribute significantly to any health problem. However, getting the water into the disk can be quite a challenge, due to the fact that in these cases they are often pinched (which causes the excruciating pain!) so water doesn't flow in. A year and a half ago I was literally crawling on the floor to the bathroom, and had to have others wait on me. (Maybe I needed that?!)

At any rate, after an MRI confirmed that I had 3 herniated disks and 1 severly degenerated disk, my doctor wanted to do surgery. As a nurse, I know that back surgery has a very low success rate, often resulting in permanant disability. And once THAT damage is done, it's almost irreversible. Of course I refused, and after 6 months of treatments, I'm almost as good as new. Here's what I did:

Exercises specifically for my lower back, including a yoga position called the "spinal twist." I think this was the most important, and the most effective exercise. It literally opens of the spine, effectively "unpinching" the nerves and allows the disks to reposition themselves into their proper place.

I took large doses of nutrients that target the joint areas. This included Glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM, fish oil, and some supplements that my Chiropractor sold to me.
And I was very fortunate to find a wonderful chiropractor in my home town of Chico, CA. I went for treatments 2-3 times a WEEK for several months. Lucky for me, he charges his patients on a sliding scale. Since I wasn't able to work and had no insurance, and was living on disability payments, this made if very affordable.

I walked every day as soon and as much as I could, eventually working up to one hour of brisk walking.

I kept a positive attitude. I wish that I had known about quantum touch at that time and could have found a practitioner. There is no doubt in my mind that the healing would have been vastly accelerated!

Good Luck, Falling Apart! I hope this helps!

Oooops, sorry, it was Jessica that made the statement of disks being made primarily of water, not Alain. Sorry.
