I am treating a 14 year girl with marked scoliosis. Had 2 treatments so far 3 days apart and the transformation in the posture and structure of the back is amazing. I will keep the board posted and photo's have been taken for documentation purposes and hopefully I will get to post soon. The difference in the 2 photos is marked. During treatment the back moves around constantly and the posture also changes. The wing on the right scapula is half the size it was and the spine itself has straightened.

I am hping that we can reeducate the body to keep these changes by not having too long between sessions. A mixture of basic and SC techniques were used. next appointment is on Tuesday after a visit to the surgeon for the first time. They are going to take along photos to show the surgeon.

Thanks Kerry and Faune

I am waiting for the photos to be sent to me via e.mail and then I need their permission to post them on the board. As I said mum is taking the daughter to the orthopedic surgeon tomorrow for the first time and I am hoping they will show him the pics as well. I know the man - small town - so am interested to see if he is interested at all. I will try and get the medical report. The daughter's father is really impressed so far with the progress so far. Hold thumbs!!!

Well done Wendy. Looks like you are putting some great healing in place across there in Botswana.

Look forward to hearing of the results from the hospital visit, etc.

Wendy, This is a wonderful story to hear. I was wondering if you have ever worked on anyone who has already had spinal fusion surgery? and if you have did you get similar results?

Hi Danielle

I have never worked with a spinal fusion before - sorry. I have been waiting to receive the photo's mentioned above from my client's mum. I now have these and have taken more after each treatment. After the initial excitement of change in my client's posture it has not been as dramatic as I would have hoped and then came the first X rays taken of her. It turns out she has a 60Degree twist in her spine and has been advised to have Harrington Rods put in. We are waiting for her to have an appointment on the 10 March with a specialist down south in South Africa and after another set of x-rays are taken we will be able to see how much progress has been made. It is 2 steps forward and 1 back (for me) Her back pan has stopped and to my eyes the actual spine looks straighter. Mum is delighted but anxious and Dad wants her to have the op. I will be postine a couple of photos here for others to see for themselves. I will soon be away for 2 weeks - hope to post thenm before I go - I now have their permission to post them.

Thanks for the post.

Love
wendy

Don't get discouraged. Before you worked on her the twist might have been worse. Plus you may have made marked changes in other areas and the twist will come along later. The body heals itself in the most intelligent way possible, so maybe the twist will be the last thing to go, since other changes are more important at the moment. I've found that often it appears that nothing is changing much and then suddenly in one session big changes will happen, so keep that wait and see attitude, because the body could be getting ready to do something big.

Hi Debra

Thanks for replying - I know you do a lot of work with scoliosis clients and I value your response. If you wouldn't mind commenting on the pics once they are up I would be most grateful. I have shared a couple of them with some other QT'rs and am awaiting there response - as I said hard to tell . I do feel there are changes but the marked difference I saw on the camera in a small image didn't appear to be so marked once i had it up on the PC. Also one has to be very careful how the client stands - try and recreate the same conditions and lighting. But all that said and done - when I FEEL the passage of the spine as I am working vertebra by vertebra it looks and feels straighter. The right scapula however has popped back out again and doesn't seem to have changed. I will have a break of two weeks when I go on holiday and her mum is going to work with her. She has my QT book and is practicing on everyone and everything. Personally I think she'll be a natural as she said she could see a huge plume of colours coming out the top of my head!!!!!! She said she saw that occasionally!!!! Oh how I wish.

Lots of love
wendy

Hello!

teh same degree of scoliosis.

Medicine cannot help him. Do you think QT can?

Thank you.

I'm interested in this story too. My daughter's scoliosis curve has progressed to 60 despite my doing QT on her. I've also been taking her to a practitioner who has had good results in the past and in fact was able to significantly straighten my spine. The orthopedic surgeons we've consulted highly recommend surgery. I haven't given up on QT yet for her but we are running out of time, as gravity accelerates the curve once it's this large and she still has a lot of growing in the next few years (she's 12) Any recommendations would be appreciated.
