I was cooking steaks in a metal fry pan, for quests last night, for 12 minutes on top of the stove then for 8 minutes in a 450 degree oven for 8 minutes. When they were ready i used oven mitts to lift the hot pan to the stove top. I used tongs in my right hand and, and then as i usually do grabbed the handle with my left hand. What a shock, my hand was stinging something awfull. I put the meat on the plates and went into my den and started to run energy on my hand.when i pulled my hand away from the pan i noticed two fingers had half inch size blisters on the tips. After i ran energy for five minutes the stinging had basically stopped, but i was sure i would still have two fingers with blisters, as the skin was raised, and the blisters were white in color. I joined my quests for supper, then went back into my den to run some S.C. energy for 10 minutes, and the blisters looked and felt better.
This morning there is absolutely no pain, and only one finger has a lighter color skin where the blister was. The other finger has no sign of the blister. If you saw me jump when i wrapped my hand around that hot handle, you would think i was in for a skin graft. My hand is completely free of any marks or pain I won,t be in such a hurry next time i cook Gord
