what is "type 8" ?.....what are its characteristics apart from other cerebellar ataxia symptoms. is this newly diagnosed? and do you or someone you know do QT? I am not a QT expert, but all I read says that the earlier you approach a problem, the more any (potential) help can have its effects. The cerebellum does not operate alone, that is, its interaction and "connections" to the rest of the brain and spinal cord is complex and far reaching. Therefor, i would think that it is not only the cerebellar area that should be approached with QT. As far as trying the QT approach vs. only medicine....i would ask, how badly do you want to fight it (for yourself or another)? Also, if you have not gotten much response on this message board and its index, perhaps you could contact Richard Gordon himself (???) or another individual on the "board" occasionally, "Dr. B".
