My wife's chronic sciatica has been better since we started doing QT on it the last week or so. But last night it flared up again.

I tried a repeat of what got rid of the pain the other night- L1-4, coxyx, psoas muslces, nerve. But after 25 minutes, the pain didn't budge.

I was a little disapointed but reminded my wife that her body was going to do with the energy what it saw fit to do, and in it's own time.

She then made a comment about being constipated for the last two day, and if she could just move, that could help as it had in the past.

I told her I wanted to try something else. Without telling her I started working on the small intestines, then the large. Within seconds (30) she said, "You're working on my stomach. It's starting to cramp up."

Encouraged by the effect I was having, I again focused on the small intestines as a group, then inch by in on the large intestines. After about ten minutes I stopped. No change in her sciatic pain. Bummer.

Then two minutes later she rushed to the bathroom. So as not to be vulgar or crass, I'll just say that she spent 10 minutes or so in there and was excited enough to show me the proof of my work.

Still, her sciatic pain was there. She took a hot bath and pain killer. I was disapointed. For all my hard work, I was only as good as a bottle of Exlax.

I had to remind myself and my wife, that I couldn't force her body to do anything. Her lowerback/sciatic problem is chronic, so I'll just keep running the energy.

Any comments or suggestions for chronic lower back pain/sciatica are welcome.

I'd strongly focus on the piriformis muscles as illustrated in my book, balance the hips (front and back) and give some attention to the neck. Remember, so much more goes on in these sessions than we can perceive. Dispite the rumor going around, not everyone will let themselves get well in one session. Keep at it and let us know how things work out.

PS - handling constipation with energy is no small feat!
PSS - sometimes knee or foot problems can throw off the gate and aggrivate sciatica.
