My son just got out of the Army, he's home for good. 4 years ago, my son, Ryan, joined the Army. This was a shock for this peacenik mom. However, he and the military members who believe that this is what they need to do have my complete love and support.

When Ryan graduated from AIT, he was headed to Germany. While home on leave before transferring, he told me the news. He was going to Iraq to join his unit after a brief training period. I was devastated. I let him know that I was very concerned but I refused to break down for the two weeks he was home. I let him know that no matter where he was, no matter what things looked like, no matter what the situation seemed like, HE could remain safe in the middle of WHATEVER. I told him that there could be a bubble of protection surrounding him. He agreed that was possible.

When he left to spend week that remained of his leave with his grandparents, I broke down. I cried and cried. I wallowed in my tears. After a few days, I figured that was enough. I emailed everyone in my address book and told them about Ryan and asked for their prayers, meditations, chants, thoughts or whatever it is that they do for Ryan's safety. I asked the same of everyone that I spoke to as well.

Our company's banker came for a meeting. As I was walking her out, I mentioned Ryan. She asked if she could pray for him. I'm not a Christian so I hesitated. But I caught myself, "Hey, this is for Ryan's life! I'll take whatever anyone believes in!!" So I agreed. The woman proceeded to pray a "bubble of protection" around my son. I'd not mentioned the bubble.

Later, at an art event, I ran into a Vietnam veteran. I told him about Ryan. He told me lots of things and made me promise to bring Ryan to him whenever he came home. "You see, my buddies and I will gather 'round and provide 'bubble of protection' for him." I'd not mentioned the bubble to him either.

The universe had definitely installed Ryan's bubble of protection.

I got an email from Ryan a couple of weeks after he'd arrived in Germany. It was his first opportunity to contact me. HIS ORDERS HAD CHANGED!!! His unit was being UNEXTENDED and would return to Germany on schedule, not leaving enough time for Ryan to train and to join them in Iraq. The bubble was working!!

My son spent the remainder of his time in Germany, no Iraq duty, no combat duty at all. His unit supported the 1st Armored Division which continues to be deployed in Iraq. Others in his unit were deployed but my son was not. That bubble of protection worked better than I dreamed!!!!

My son is home. 'Course now we still have to deal with 4 years of IRR but that's probably not a problem. The bubble's staying in place -- just in case.

Mom's love ..... no limits! More blessings to you!!!

Boy, you sent that bubble request out to the universe and it sure did manifest it. This post gave me goosebumps, I'm so glad he's home safe for good
