This past weekend three of us had the opportunity to do QT for an 82 year old man with a variety of problems. Before we started he was visibly stooped and walked with a very short stride and uncertain steps. We ran energy for just over an hour with particular attention to the back, hips and knees (one of which has either a steel plate in it, or a replacement). After the session (which was at his home) he got off the massage table and took a few steps in the old manner. The first change that was noticed was that he took the two steps up from the living room without the aid of the hand rail. Then as he walked back and forth letting his dogs in and out his pace picked up and his stride lengthened by at least 8"-10". In comparison to his previous walking he was literally zooming. His wife, who had retired to bed, could hear the difference in his footsteps on the hardwood floor. As he ascended the staircase to go to bed he took the steps normally, one foot after the other (something he has been unable to do for awhile). We were able to do another session the next night and not only did his walking improve a little more but his posture was much straighter, his eyes were brighter and he was much more engaged with the people around him. I could picture the Mazda commercial on TV, but instead of the boy watching the car he was seeing this wonderful old gentleman walking and saying to himself "Zoom, Zoom."

That's great Dennis! It's really nice to get long term follow-up information.
