For those who are not on our mailing list, here is a copy of a letter that was sent to Richard Austin, a QT instructor in North Carolina. Working on children is usually easier than working on adults.

Most of you have heard of Scoliosis, curvature of the spine. Before involvement, most people think it is somehow a slight problem and is not too serious and certainly correctable without surgery. Scoliosis of 40 degrees or more is always
recommended for surgery by mainstream medicine. My daughter Meagan�s
curve was 53 degrees in the upper back and 17-24 degrees in the lower back.
On April 19, 2004, a Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon told us her condition was
progressive and would require a 6-8 hour surgery to place rods on each side of
her spine. Further, she should begin stocking her own blood immediately for the
surgery�and he could fit us in�sometime in July, 04. We were all devastated to
say the least. Our little girl going through major surgery�at barely 12 years old.
Unacceptable!

I immediately researched and found the cutting edge Chiropractors in town,
Ballantyne Advanced Chiropractic, Dr. Jason Usher & Dr. Guy McAninch.
Chiropractic therapy started on April 27, 04. Another full set of x-rays were taken
and specific exercises (home & office) were started. So far, Treatment has been
6 days weekly from 4-27-04 through 5-21-04 (19 treatments so far).
I put Meagan on 500 mg. of Magnesium, 1000 mg. of vitamin C and a complete
multivitamin daily. We will add the recommended 1300 mg. of Calcium this week.
(she was already taking supplements, just not enough.)

I am a skeptic, show-me kind of person. We live in a society that constantly
bombards us with advertising hype, sales pitches, TV/Radio infomercials, etc.
Some true, some lies and many in some sort of gray area. I was skeptical when I
read about Quantum-Touch. (http://www.quantumtouch.com) Come on, energy
healing? But after reading the positive testimonials from people with serious
diseases and other problems including scoliosis, I decided to check it out
thoroughly. Having completed a massive amount of research on anything I
could find, Quantum-Touch presented the most promise. (quite honestly, I thought I
was in real trouble if this was the best solution available. I researched Pneumex, Bowen Therapy,
Raindrop Therapy, Cranial/Sacral therapy and Bach Flowers among many other alternatives to
surgery.)
I had to find �something� to save our 12 yr. old daughter from major surgery and
potential life threatening consequences if her condition progressed.
(scoliosis can cause heart, lung and many other organ, muscular & skeletal problems)

My wife and I took Meagan to Richard Austin, a Quantum-Touch practitioner, on Monday, May 17, 2004. (http://www.RebuildHealth.com) He had a 2 hour therapy session with Meagan. While watching the therapy, I remember thinking it was a waste of time and money. All he did was place his fingers on selected muscles, breath funny, and repeat the process. However, after treatment, I did notice some positive movement in her spine...or thought I did.
On Friday, 5-21-04,(4 days after Quantum-Touch Therapy) the Chiropractors noticed Meagan�s spine was STRAIGHT when she lay on her stomach�and they were absolutely amazed at this quick turnaround of Meagan�s condition. This just does not happen, ever!

I examined her back that evening and found her spine was �almost straight� even in a standing position. This sent chills down MY spine. This is a far departure from just 4 days earlier when examination revealed a stark 53 degree curve. Her spine was literally all the way over to her right shoulder blade.

Personally, I�ve never been more amazed (and pleased) in my lifetime. Say what you will and/or think what you will, something VERY special has occurred here.
Quantum-Touch and Chiropractic has saved my little one. We�re not forgetting prayers, perhaps prayer led us to the solution! Thank you to all that prayed for Meagan.

We are out of the realm of even considering surgery. We will continue both therapies and will recommend both to anyone. Before considering surgery, please consider this alternative. It worked. We are going through the exact scenerio that you did. Our daughter is 14 and was found to have a 51% from T9 to L2 and a 35% from T4 to T9. We have an appointment this Tuesday with the Non-Surgical Scoliosis Ctr. in NYC. The prospect of this surgery is as you know heart wrenching to the point of denial. God I hope we can have a miracle like you did. What are the chances? As you said, the QTouch is a little (or a lot ) hard to believe. I have a QT practitioner coming to our home this Sunday. But if she can't get any result or progress after a few sessions I may want to go to the guy you did. How much did they charge and what is the availability do you know? God I'd love to be you and take my daughter back to the great orthopedic dr. and hear the explaination for why she no longer requires surgery.

I think you are on the right track here, and I'll have the practitioner get in touch with Richard Austin in case there are some things he learned from his sessions. I do remember him telling me that he spent time working on the ribs, both front and back as well as every part of the spine.

I think you are on the right track. If this is going to work, you should probably see some positive results after two or three sessions. I suggest sessions no more than two or three days apart. The first session should probably be 90 - 120 minutes. Most practitioners charge $50 -$60 an hour, but we don't control what people charge for their work.

We often see miracles at the modest cost of simple massage therapy. I personally dislike therapies that drag people through months and months of payments only to find out that it didn't work. It is likely that she will correct to some extent, (hopefully beyond the need for surgery) but she will probably need many follow up sessions to secure the improvements and to continue her progress. One great thing about QT is that you can easily be trained to help your daughter yourself for ongoing sessions.

I do know that Richard Austin has been very successful with scoliosis and frankly, if she were my daughter I'd do whatever I could to avoid surgery. Richard has become a good friend of mine and he is 100% sincere in what he is doing. I'm sure he will want to talk with you. He can be reached at (336) 644-9070. I suggest that you put the QT practitioner who will work with your daughter in touch with Richard Austin in case he has any treatment suggestions to pass on.

I post the photo of Richard's scoliosis case (from the QT home page) on the wall at the weekly free clinic I do at a Mexican shopping center in Dallas. It draws people like a magnet draws nails. People point to it - Hizo usted esto?(did you do this?) I respond: No, eso es la obra de un otro hombre muy competente, pero el y yo creemos que usted tiene el poder de hacerlo tambien, usando quantumtouch! (no, that is the work of another man who is very competent, , but he and I believe that you also have the power to do such things , using Quantum Touch!) Many thanks to the two Richards!

Attending my second workshop recently I was able to pair with a lovley co-attendee who had scoliosis for many years since 19 years old. Others had flowed energy with her, but I followed these following steps intuitively. First I declared my intent that I wanted her DNA to use the energy to first repair any faults in the DNA, then restore her body to prescoliosis straightness. I saw her as a tall strong 14 year old with a straight back. Secondly I worked the upper neck with tripod first, then realized that for the back to straighten the organs need to reposition first. For half an hour using every supercharging technique, I concentrated on her DNA allowing the internal organs to reposition to allow my vision of her to become reality.
I shifted hand positions many times left to right, up down sandwiching front to back mostly with some side by side. A great deal of heat was released. At the end of the session she reported that lying on the table was painful but got better as time went on, and her back was "on fire".
Checking her hips at the end of the session revealed that the left hand side hip projection had receeded 2 inches, hence the lessening of pain lying on the table. AND she said that for the first time in 20 years she had been able to take a breath and deeply, fully inhale!
I feel sure that path is now open for changes to commence.

Can you correct this by distant healing. ?. My son is 4 months old and we cannot afford a surgery that the doctors want.

I am 16 years old and have scoliosis just a little less severe then 53 degrees but since richard austin is not in california can he do distant healings without me having to go out of state?

Just so you'll know Richard Austin cannot be reached at the number given. That is an old number that no longer rings here. The number to reach him at is 336-644-1111.

Generally speaking we do not work on scoliosis long distance. We have found the results to be too variable. Also, if the results are not instant the client usually will not continue the work. Often we can see changes they can't, initially. However, if you have a practitioner in your area (look on the main web site under practitioners) I would start there.

As for the lady in India. Where are you located? You can PM (private message me if you would like) There is a possibility that we will be in India later this year or early next year and we might be able to set up some appointments during that time. Four months old is awfully young to even be consindering surgery. Their bones are so soft at this point. In the meantime I would research other possibilities that you might be able to do yourself at home. Plus, you can order the QT book, learn the technique and start working on your son immediately.

Richard, the story about Megan is awesome! I too have a daughter, Leah, who has scoliosis and she has about a 45 degree and 35 degree curves. She is well and does not suffer. She is 12 years old, beautiful girl! We are Christians and I believe in healing period! I believe God's word that says, " the miracles he performed, we shall do greater ones". (not exact wording) I was lead to this website partially by my brother-in-law and w/ reading this story I believe it can work. I truly don't want her to have surgery, yes, that's what they won't to do, but it is out of the question. She still has at least 1 or 2 more growth spurts and believe God can heal her. He gave us doctors, etc and you wonderful people as well. I would love to have a session. I spoke w/ a lady, a part of one of your groups in Virginia Beach, VA and they meet on Tuesdays. For some reason I have not made a sure attempt to go yet. My husband agrees that we should try it, but I know he is a believe and may have some dought. Where should I start w/ this? I live in Virginia near the North Carolina line.

I would certainly visit the healing circle. If you are not comfortable taking your daughter the first time, just go yourself, so you can get a feel for what it is all about, ask questions, etc. You might find that one of the people in the group really appeals to you and you can work with them privately. Also, I would highly recommend that you get the book, read it and start doing work on your daughter yourself. Then when the opportunity arises you should take a hands-on workshop to help build your confidence and skills. It is always nice to have a "seasoned" practitioner do the work to begin with, but you can at least keep your daughter's energy at a very high vibration between sessions, or you may find that you are able to do the work yourself. Quantum-Touch is a wonderful skill to have for life, as you can use it in all kinds of situations, from bumps, bruises, strains and common illnesses to serious traumas, and chronic debilitating conditions. It works in all situations.

If Virginia Beach is too far to travel regularly, you might check the practitioners page on the web site to see if there isn't someone closer, but a trip to the healing circle would give you a real feel for what QT is all about.

There are lots of practitioners in California. Look on the main QT site and you will find a list of practitioners there. When working with scoliosis it usually takes a series of sessions, so working with someone from your area is your best choice. All practitioners have the ability to work with scoliosis. Just find someone you enjoy working with, even if you try several before you make a decision. Best to you in your healing search.
