By now, I'm sure, we've all heard at one time or another about Terri Schiavo. Her story can be viewed along with video clips on her at terrisfight.org.
She was once quoted as saying, "where there's life, there's hope". In the Good Book I've read, it states, that with God, all things are possible. I have a desire to want to help this woman, but I pose this question here in this post.
In the QT book, Richard Gordon states that permission should be sought from the person receiving the energy. Under the circumstances, how can we receive that permission from her? Does that mean, we sit back and do nothing?
I would be interested in receiving your imput, suggestions and feedback. Terri's time is running out. Can we help?

Sincerely,

Gary and Doreen

It is my honest opinion that when one wishes to help, yet can't reach the helpee(?) to correctly proceed with healing energy by asking permission, that the entire situation needs to go out the window. Healing energy cannot repeat CANNOT hurt any living creature. On that note, SEND!
I can't state to you the exact words I have read here, or seen on Richard Gordons
videos, but I DO believe that he would agree.
Or, not. (not a mind-reader, sorry, just a wannabe)!
I do believe that Terri Schiavo has, in reality, already given her permission for the sending of the healing energy by her own quote "Where there is life, there is hope" Now, who can possibly believe the person who said that REALLY meant "Leave me alone, I wanna die!" ?
Please, go ahead, and let me have the time that you intend to send: I will join in. I believe what I am saying to you.

Not sure where you got the idea Richard says that - maybe you read too quickly and were just seeing his statement that some healers say that - Richard says just the opposite. He pretty explicitly states that he feels that the idea about needing someone's permission to send them healing is a ridiculous idea, akin to getting permission to love someone.

Good Evening: I have my copy of QT-The Power to Heal in front of me as I type this. Copyright 1999.
Jocelyn...I live in Las Vegas. It's distant healing that I am talking about for Terri, who is in Florida. On page 169 of my QT book, it states: "Get permission. It is always a good idea to get permission to do distant healing."
Also on page 8 of my QT book, Cafe Sessions, Richard seeks permission from a daughter to run energy on her elderly mother. She translated, as the mother spoke French.
I hope this clarifies my intent. - Gary

Even if Terri personally can't give permission, her family has been asking the entire world for support and help, to say nothing of the court system. When seeing her pictures, at least in my eyes, I see the divine spark of life there, I see interaction with other people, and movement.

So I say "SEND."

The path that she is on in this lifetime has a purpose. Perhaps it is to be a shining example, to remind us of the preciousness of life and the life-force energy. Hers is a difficult Path, but one that we need to honor and cherish nonetheless.

SEND.

Blessings.....Ali

I see you're right, Gary. I don't know if the two editions of the books have the same material, but my 2002 copyright version goes on to say, in the same paragraph: "If for one reason or another you cannot get permission, simply ask that the energy be used for the highest good, and send it to the person." Perhaps his thinking on this issue has evolved over the years. In the video, he does express the thought that asking permission to send healing is like asking permission to love somebody.

I think it's a little different situation when you're with somebody in person, as he was with the elderly mother & daughter - you can't just go up to a fully conscious person standing or sitting in front of you start touching them out of the blue without getting their permission first!

Many times I have given distant healing without permission. Only twice have I felt it was not wanted. The first time I felt v. irritable as i contacted and the second time it was like walking into a thin sheet of rubber.
I believe that if the healing is really unwanted you will get a warning like those examples.
Warmly,
Huggie

Being in the U.K I hadn't heard about Terri, and have just been shocked and horrified by the story! I've put a link on my healingroom page on my site. I'd suggest sending healing to her parents and the situation itself, as there seem to be some very strange aspects to it where love can only be helpful. I saw the video clip of Terri responding to piano music - I can't believe she is in danger of legally being starved to death! How can this happen in a civilised society?? All U.S and especially Florida residents reading this, please pray for her and her loving parents. I am doing so. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!

I totally second what Jane says - thank you for bringing this to our attention.

The two editions of the book are the same on this. As Jocelyn says asking that the energy be used for the highest good and sending it anyway is always the option if permission for distant healing can't be obtained.

As for the cafe session Richard talks about - obviously as the lady's daughter was present he wasn't just going to put his hands on her mother without asking permission. He asked the daughter as the mother couldn't speak English. I hope nobody would ever 'put their hands on' somebody without checking that it was acceptable. Indeed, I believe in many parts of your country (US) you have to have a licence of some sort to do just that!

Love and Sunshine,
Jan x

Further to Terri's need for healing, here's a message from the website (written after a 40 minute visit to Terri by her attorney). << We encourage everyone to continue to pray for Terri and her family, especially that Terri will soon be receiving the help she needs to learn to speak and to swallow and that she will soon be home with her family again.>> I'd like to suggest QT be sent to Terri for these specific outcomes; if she could feed herself, the threat to her life would be gone! There's another hearing on March 18th, I believe.
