From the little I know they are very different systems. I found this paragraph about body talk:

"For every malfunctioning energy circuit that is found, the practitioner or client contacts the corresponding "points" with their hands. Tthe practitioner then lightly taps the client on the top of the head, which stimulates the brain centers and causes the brain to re-evaluate the state of the body's health. The result is that the general energy balance of the body is greatly improved."

Quantum-Touch works through a entirely different means. Check out the special report for a short overview of how it works and the sorts of healings we encounter.

I am a Certified BodyTalk Practitioner and second degree Reiki Practitioner. After having 3 Quantum Touch sessions, I would say QT and BT operate from different paradigms, are experientially different, and produce different outcomes. QT appears to be a general application of healing energies, bearing some similarity to Reiki.

By contrast, BT utilizes a variation on muscle testing to identify the priorities of a client's innate wisdom, then systematically establishes/enhances communication between parts of their bodymind complex. When links are identified, tapping on the head and sternum makes the bodymind balance and store connections between those parts. BT draws on several Eastern and Western medical paradigms.

I am also a second degree Reiki practitioner, and practice QT (working on certification). I am learning BT and find that BT is a terrific adjunct to QT. I use the feedback to understand where to run energy, where and when to go next, and when to end the session. Also, tapping of the head and heart reinforces the energy work and translates it to the body system.

Unfortunately there isn't a public BodyTalk forum, but I'm also interested in becoming a BT practitioner. I just have a bunch of questions. How effective is BT to y'all BT practitioners? I have the basic BodyTalk Systems: Missing Link to Optimum Health book but haven't tried any of the techniques yet. How effective is BT for allergies, virus, parasites compared to NMT (Neuromodulation Technique)? I might as well ask how effective is QT on those as well. Do y'all BT practitioners have awesome stories similar to those found in that book and the case histories on the website? (Sorry for going off topic!)

I highly recommend BodyTalk to everyone who's interested in a truly holistic energy system. BodyTalk balances everything from chakras, meridians, charged active emotions, body chemistry (viruses, parasites, etc...), organs, endocrines, planetary influences and other environmental issues. I am really impressed with this system that's why I have taken exactly a year to take all of their advanced courses. It's definitely not cheap but it's worth it! Their philosophy is a bit different but QT can definitely be used when it comes up during a BodyTalk treatment. QT is great for cafe sessions but in a way BodyTalk is used more in a clinical setting also laypeople can learn and utilize bodytalk. Their website is www.bodytalksystem.com. I have referred several bodytalkers to QT and vice-versa and they love both systems!

I have taken all the bodytalk modules.I love it, but one difference, , which I consider material, is that the advaita vedanta underpinning of bodytalk views love and compassion as emotions which impede spiritual progress, as we are all part of one god (non-duality), and "love"implies that there is an "other" to be loved (erroneous). I think over-emotionality can be detrimental to results, but I side with QT in affirming that love amplifies spiritual growth, rather than impeding it.
