In Brian Whetten's course, Selling By Giving, he coaches that the 100% money back guarantee is a great tool for gaining prospect confidence that they will get value for their money because if they aren't satisfied they don't pay.
It worked for me. I wouldn't have invested the money in the course without that money back guarantee. It's an awful lot of money to waste. With the money back guarantee, it was my assurance that I wouldn't waste my money. I'm more than satisfied with the course. The course has paid for itself in increased business for me and it totally changed my relationship to selling -- because I'm not selling, I'm serving. My question is this: How many of you have implemented the money back guarantee and how does that work for you? I'm interested in doing it because I demonstrated that it works in Brian's business. But how do we make it work in ours? How do we assure that we aren't taken advantage of, that our isn't a perpetually free service, that we are able to earn a living, but are able to gain client confidence by implementing that guarantee? I'm surprised Brian didn't tell you in the class.
What I'm working on is going to go something LIKE this: I commit to giving you all my time and pertinent skills and talents for the full duration of your session. If you are not completely satisfied that I have done this, there will be no charge for the session. As for guarantees, I know what you mean. When Rick first took Richard's workshop in 2001 Rick had just been laid off. He took the class first, to appease me. And second because he fully intended to get his money back. Never happened. Chrissie PS We ALWAYS explain first that ALL healing is self-healing and that that is NOT what we do. We make sure they understand and are take responsibility for their own healing. Points to consider:
1. I had clients that didn't feel a thing during the session, a few days latter they said they had no pain etc...so if I had mentioned the 'guarantee', maybe they wanted their money back. 2. Energy takes about 24 hours to run trough your whole body, and lasts for 3 to 5 days depending on basic technique or advanced. Supose they got better during the session, but next day they, instead of improvement they are worse then after the session. Maybe QT changed the rate of recovery, if they had no QT session, the situation could have been too much worse. I'm sure QT reduced the rate of problem development. How can the client evaluate this? It's complicated to explain all this to them... I have full confidence on QT, I think that to agree with this guarantee idea means that I have no confidence on QT. Kind of accepting Qt will not work. I rather say, let's have a coffe session, and see if you like it. Some people are not used too energy work, too much energy can make some people unconfortable. And bla bla bla, but not admiting that QT will not work. I was talking to my wife about this and she said: maybe Cris is so sure that QT works that she take the chance , the garantee...this is a complex subject. This message has been edited. Chrissie, Brian did cover it in class, just not the specifics. I'm leaning toward something similar to what you've mentioned.
Wilson, That's what I've been struggling with. The healing is completely up to the client. I can't guarantee results. Peace on Earth & in your Heart To request a Quantum Thought Collective Healing Intention (QT CHI): http://quantumtouch.groupee.ne...1071811/m/4371031152 |

Hi Cris
Are you talking about a money back guarantee for clients or students or both? I totally agree with you about the money back guarantee and Brian's course. I wouldn't have dreamed of committing that much money without the guarantee. As for clients I offer them a free session if they feel they haven't received exceptional value from a session. So far no-one has asked. I am thinking of introducing a similar guarantee for workshops and am interested in how this has been done in the past. Were there conditions to the refund? I'm interested to hear your thoughts and opinions on this. |

Wilson, I think you missed the point.
We are not guaranteeing that they will heal, get better or get out of pain. I am not guaranteeing results. I am guaranteeing my efforts on their part. I am proposing to guarantee that I will focus on and give the benefit of my training to my client 100% and if they don't feel I've done that then there would be no charge for my services. I can't see that I can do anything more or different. As I said earlier, before we get to that point in the session I have already explained that I will not be healing them - that all healing is SELF-healing. I have also explained that the body can use the energy in other areas. And that it can continue to work for several days. Suzanne, Quantum-Touch already requires that we offer a guarantee for the workshops. The stipulations are- they need attend all the days (they can't miss and of it) and they must let you know before the end of the workshop. Hope this helps. I was talking more of something like a money-back guarantee if the student hadn't received the value they thought they would from the workshop. I'm not sure how to go about offering this. I know that in the past this was offered with workshops- what were the conditions under which you could claim your money back? You mentioned that when your husband Rick took his first workshop there was something similar in place. |

Huh? I missed that. That's in our new agreement? I was pretty sure that I'd read everything carefully. Peace on Earth & in your Heart To request a Quantum Thought Collective Healing Intention (QT CHI): http://quantumtouch.groupee.ne...1071811/m/4371031152 |

Suzanne,
I was talking about clients. I'm pretty sure we're required to follow HQ's policy regarding workshops. (I'm having to go look that up since Chrissie's post!) Sorry Cris and all,
I guess I'm a wee bit behind the times. I checked with the office and here's what Anna said:
Live and learn. Rick and I still offer it. And guess what. Just like Rick never asked for his money back from Richard, we've never had anyone request it either. Chrissie Blessings, Love and Laughter, and Big Warm Hugs, Chrissie |

I like your guarantee Chrissie. I'll use it. I didn't know we were allowed. Thanks!
