Hi All,

Just recently I read this about Headache and Migraine:

Headache, Migraine.
Headache in general is very common and occurs quite frequently. 3 meridians can cause headache: Gallbladder, bladder and the stomach. All 3 meridians run from the feet to the head. The location of the headache is the first indication to which of the meridians could possibly be the cause of the headache.
Headache in the middle of the head could be the bladder meridian. If one of the two sides of the head hurts, it could be the gallbladder meridian. If the forehead and eyes hurt, the stomach meridian could be the cause.
Usually with migraine the stomach as well as the gallbladder meridian could be responsible. The gallbladder is very respceptive to stress, eg. The reason of many stress headaches and weekend headaches. Stress could lead to stomach ulcers and gallbladder problems. If you look at the meridian clock of the 5 elements Chinese clock, you will see that the gallbladder meridian (if function is bad) has a negative effect on the stomach meridian. First at energetic level and than at the physical level.
Homeopathic remedies have to be in relation to the place where the pain is and also if the cause is in the combination of gallbladder/stomach or bladder meridian.

Smiler Maybe this is of some help too for as I have experienced with pain in general the further away from where the pain is the better it can work. Meaning with Migraine you could work on the foot.In his case it could be one of the 3 or all of the Meridians mentioned and all can be found in the foot, all are Yang meridians,(they begin at the head and end at the foot) Gallbladder,Stomach and Bladder.

An other helpful tip is massaging or pressing on Smiler Heart 3/4 against nausea (very common in Migraine) Smiler

Pain: Press Large intestine (colon ) 4.

SmilerThanks to Einar who posted this accupuncture site you can find the exact points.

Hope this helps you. I DO hope so for it'such a devastating illness to have.

This is from EFT

Migraine Headache Relief: No Meds Therapy Reports 80% Effectiveness--Often Works in Minutes
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) -- Stanford Engineer Gary Craig introduces a new approach for migraine headache sufferers. This non-drug treatment is called EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) and, through clinical applications, has provided an effectiveness rate of over 80%.

In essence, EFT is an emotional version of acupuncture except needles are not necessary. Instead, gentle fingertip tapping on precise meridian energy points allow the body's subtle energies (or Qi, as it is called in Chinese medicine) to flow unimpeded. This has proven repeatedly to provide relief from a wide variety of pains, including migraine headaches.

An estimated 303 million worldwide experience recurring migraine headaches. At any one time migraines are incapacitating 20 million people, interfering with their productivity and disrupting their personal as well as professional lives. "EFT can nearly eliminate this problem," says Craig. "While qualified physicians should always be consulted, the rapidity and ease with which this process often works is astonishing."

EFT Practitioner Lindsay Kenny reports on one of her early migraine headache cases as follows: "Sherry was out of medication and out of her mind in pain, so she tried lying on the floor and tapping for relief, not knowing whether or not EFT would help. She said that relief came within minutes of tapping and that the migraine was completely gone in less than 10 minutes. She was delighted and astounded. And so was I. That was the first time I knew EFT could work on such serious ailments."

Although EFT is a new process, it has been discovered by innovative members of the medical community. They have found that it effectively addresses the emotional causes to disease and thus provides relief where other methods fail. As Los Angeles Urologist Eric Robins says, "Some day the medical profession will wake up and realize that unresolved emotional issues are the main cause of 85% of all illnesses. When they do, EFT will be one of their primary healing tools .... as it is for me."

Over 225,000 people have downloaded Craig's free training manual and another 5,000 to 10,000 download it each month. Known as The EFT Manual, it has been translated by volunteer practitioners into nine languages. The EFT website is the sixth most actively visited natural health site in the world.

The EFT Manual gives anyone all the basics so they can apply it right away. It can be freely downloaded at...

Hi Pinky!
I just wanted to tell you how much you have contributed to my life and my families by sharing about EFT. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for posting the EFT link here.

My sister has migraine headaches and is now able to use EFT on the emotions that cause her headaches.

I've used EFT to defuse the start of an Asthma attack by working on each aspect of the emotions associated with it. An example of individual aspects are: 1) Wheezing; 2) Tightness in chest; 3) Trouble breathing, etc. When it is broken down into smaller parts it is easier to work on and eliminate.

It is also works to relieve allergy symptoms: itchy inner ears, blocked sinus passages, itchy throat. Can't wait to use it on other things too. It works nicely with QT. Smiler

Thank you so much for making a huge difference in our lives.

Hi Pinky,
Quite an informative post. Along with EFT and Acupuncture, You can also try Brazilian Toe Massage, which is quite simple and easy to practice. Even a child could do this with ease.

There are six energy meridians that connect to the organs in the body, all of which ends in the toes. They are:
Spleen and Liver, which end in the big toe.
Stomach, the second big toe
Bladder, the central toe
Gall Bladder, the second smallest toe
Kidney, the smallest toe

By massaging these points, one can get substantial relief. For details on how to do this technique, google for Brazilian Toe Massage.

This is a "Folk Remedy" for migraine or bad headache.

My ex-husband was a chiropractor and accupuncturist. One of his patients shared this remedy with him and he went on to share it with his patients who were affected by migraines. It always worked.

Put your feet in a pan of hot water. Put your face in a bowl of ice water (of course removing it to breathe) until it becomes uncomfortable. Wait a while and if the headache is not gone, continue until it is.

His patients loved him for this because it never failed.

WOW!!! Just the thing I was wanting insight for!

Jeremy and his mother, Joyce, have always suffered from moderate to severe migraines and headaches. They both went to doctors for years - neurologists and the like - with no conclusions as to what could be the cause.

My massage and QT does help, but only takes the edge off of the pain and nausea. Hopefully these meridian, acupoint, EFT, and folk remedies will work for them as well as it has worked for others!

A thousand grateful thank-you's! Big Grin

Hai Pinky and all

Thanks for all this info, I was laid up with a 'bad headache' this last Friday. Unfortunately I usually wake up with the headache in full progress (tight band around my head, feels like my head is too heavy for my neck, the whole inchalada thumping, screaming, cutting, 'drilling' type of pain - you all know what I mean... Frowner) I tried EFT, and QT, couldn't concentrate to try and find the accupuncture points (a problem when you're on your own at home) am FASCINATED about the folk remedie...I wonder how that works... Big Grin but will definitely keep it in mind for the next time...

Thanks for all the info here...

Christina, THANK YOU for the cold face/hot foot Migraine method. My next door neighbor, (the lil healers mama) has them continously to the point of interfering with her work.

She usually tries the lil healer first, and at times this works.

But not all the time. Lil healer will send her on to me. I don't manage to keep them off, even with an orb or seven. Her work and family situation stresses her to the max, and she winds up sick every time.

I copied out your "old fashioned" method for lil healer (who can now read, thenkew!) and mama.
Mama doesn't get migrians anymore.
Thank you so very much for the brand new tool. It will be well used. I added it to the tips and tricks from QT book I keep. Handy, very handy.

Thanks again,
zen

Hello Front Office,
I was re-reading my post, searching for the inevitable errors when I realized that a book indexed to the pain areas and containing all the hints from all the QTers that have worked would bring you another book to sell. I sure would buy it!

I also keep a book of healing methods I have read about or healing techniques I have figured out for myself. It is much easier to look through my book, then to find the subject on the QT message boards as sometimes the tip was given in an unrelated message.

Great idea Zen to put out another QT book of QT remedies for specific health problems. I've longed to have such a book myself as I can't always get to a computer when I need to.

Hi everyone.
I'm finding these sources and remedies very interesting. I'm new to the message board and read the posts daily.

I'm a migraine sufferer and have been since the birth of my first child who is now 17. The migraines usually follow my monthly cycle and last for about three days. Last weekend I had the worst migraine of my life. I wasn't able to function as the pain was so severe.

Since reading the book on Quantum Touch, The Power to Heal, I tried running energy into the base of my head and my forehead. I didn't feel any relieve. I tried my perscription for migraines which did not get rid of the headache in spite of taking the maximum doseage. My friend drove me to the Emergency Room and a doctor gave me a narcotic which took care of the pain for a few hours. The headache returned and I went back to the ER once again for help. This time they gave me another shot which again helped for a few more hours.

I am not a fan of pain medications and do not like the side effect of these drugs. I was besides myself in agony and would have tried anything at that point. Now that this month's episode is gone, I hope to try some of the suggestions in the posts.

Does anyone know if the energy I ran on myself could have caused more pain with my migraines? Could I have been doing something wrong?

Thanks! Karen

Hi Karen,

The fact that you are getting these migraines at the time of your period would strongly suggest to me that your hormones are unbalanced and perhaps your uterus is not in its correct position.

You could go and see a herbalist and take some herbs that will balance your hormones, but I would also suggest that you look into getting some Maya Abdominal Massage treatment.

Go and look at the website at www.argivomassage.com. There are lots of practitioners in the States and there are bound to be some practitioners in your area.

Please consider giving this a try or at least look at the website. In conjunction with QT it might really help you.
